I was trying to decide either to get this electronic one or the old fashion one. After reading the descriptions and seeing this one came with a rechargeable battery, i knew this was the one to get. It's pretty easy to use. Simply start it up and move it to the items you may think is radioactive. Instead of taking a uv flashlight with me when looking for uranium I can take this detector to prove the glass is as advertised. So far no issues and it's very portable. I'm able to charge it with my cell charger and keep it with me on-the-go.

But honestly how is average Joe supposed to test this. It turned on so that's a plus. I check my seafood and produce with it. No crazy beeping as of yet. I'll let you how it works if I'm still alive during the apocalypse.

I've always been fascinated by scientific instruments and geiger counters so it was great to finally get my hands on one.Build quality on this unit seems strong. I wasn't able to fully test it out but the level did jump when I brought my watch (which has a radium dial) near it. Also, a granite slab I have made the levels jump.Ability to see a graph of rates is cool. USB chargability is also great.

I have several radiation calibration samples and this unit agreed with my government surplus Geiger counter. Just remember 1 Sv = 1 rem.

So this is the first time ever using a Geiger counter. It’s kind of scary when you walk around and point this unit a different different objects or items in your home and it makes this thing fluctuate up and down. You realize how much stuff has actual radiation in it this unit seems very efficient and useful, I can’t wait to test it on other things out there on our outdoor trips. I’ve never used a device like this before. This is an entire learning curve for me This unit has a lot of options, but it’s very clear and easy to understand. I’m hoping down the line I become more proficient and using a Geiger counter from my standpoint this was fair priced and worth every penny I will recommend once I learn how to use better.

This is a nice little unit, which seems to work fine. I bought it in the event of a seeming nuclear war that might happen under the Biden administration. I wanted to be able to detect the amount of fallout from any nuclear bomb detonations (provided I'm a good distance away from it).My only problem with the unit is the manual. To get out of the menu/setup mode, the manual neglects to inform you to press and hold the [

So I received this in the mail the other day and I thought it was gonna work to test my uranium glass and stuff but ran into just getting zeros but the customer service was spot on they tried to troubleshoot but ended up deciding I had to return for refund
