While this will get the job done, the bamboo was not smooth. It was rough and came across is a little bit flimsy and cheap so I returned it.

The look of this salt rimmer has potential, however the first noticeable flaw is that the lid is not really a lid. How they can call it a "lid" is beyond me. The "lid" is more of a small cutting board for your limes. While it is the same size as the rimmer and you can place it on top of the rimmer, but by no means will keep your salt from spilling out if moved. The second flaw is that the inside of the rimmer is all scratched up and very rough. The outer edge of the rimmer has visable flaws as well. I have to wonder if I was sent something used or if it's just very poor craftmanship.
