I pull papers nearly every day so it was time to order a second Gel plate. I didn't think I would care for the 5x7 size much but actually, I LOVE IT! Sometimes I need only half a pull and it's perfect...except that the first one I received was not level. I had to return it for replacement. The second one is also not level but it's not as bad and I'm able to use a small brayer on it without a problem.

I’m new to print-making, but can already see the possibilities with these. They seem very durable and we’re easy to clean (I recommended following the advice of gelli print artists online as to how to best clean).I’m a part-time potter and am going to try to use these for some silk screen transfers as well as printmaking projects. I’ve already done some tests with my Mayco pottery silkscreens and it seems to work! Also, I weirdly like the smell lol

I used these at a workshop and honestly thought they would cost more than they do! The sizes are great! smaller for cards, larger for art prints.

1st go at gelli plate printing; these are great quality gelli plates. A good thickness and easy to clean. A tip from the book I also bought is to place the plate on (I use greaseproof baking parchment) paper stuck to the table because a slight deposit can result from the plate contacting the surface. I am messy so the extra surface useful anyway. Clean everything with water quickly so acrylic paint doesn’t dry on brayer, etc.

For years I have been slapping mounds of paint on to paper trying to achieve the look I can get with these with 3 drops of paint. I had no idea looking at all the instagram accounts of artists who I thought had painstakingly taken hours to create these grunge designs with different patterns looking like polished pieces of art, that they were literally just putting drops of paint on one of these and pressing a piece of paper on to it. Total artist hack. Love it!

These jelly plates are brilliant if you want to have a go at mono printing. They are good value for money and can produce some really fun pieces. They are nice and easy to clean. It can get a bit addictive once you get started and if you’re like me you will end up with piles of prints in no time. They are a little delicate so try not to press too hard when printing if you’ve got anything too solid on the plate.
