Bought this for a Montana wedding and it got a lot of compliments (at one point I had to concede to a native Montanan that the stone definitely wasn't real).

This tie looks totally Western and evokes the cowboy hat and boots to match. It's an attractive piece and easy to put on. It also is adjustable according to head size and preference.The back clasp locking the rope in place, however, doesn't appear very strong; hopefully it will hold.And what griped me is that "USA" is printed on the back of the metal piece. And is made in China. Deceptive. The name of a country, when placed on jewelry or another object, is supposed to denote the correct country of origin. It's not on the front, which might mean it's supposed to be Americana: it's on the back, which has nothing to do with Americana style: who sees it except the wearer?Had to remove some stars with this.

The Bolo Tie is 38" long inclusive of the 1 1/4" silver finishing ends. The cabochon is 2" long oval with a stone measuring 1 5/8". It has a beautiful stone and looks great with my husbands western style shirts. This will be used occasionally when we attend "western or country" themed events. The Bolo Tie really polishes his look. The metal is a silver finish and is crafted well. The black braided rope is soft and made of some form of soft plastic. There is an adjustment clamp on the back of the cabochon to adjust the position of the stone.

This bolo tie came simple in a resealable plastic bag inside a cream colored drawstring bag. The cabochon is a dark blue and feels more like glass or resin and did have a few scratches in the surface. The cord feels PU, having to high of a gloss and to much stretch. The clasp on the back of the bolo is weak and very poorly made. I don’t believe it will last. And I am trying to figure out why if the seller has listed this product is imported from China, the back of the bolo is stamped USA?Priced at $13.59 at the time of this review, this bolo tie is not the best made and will not handle daily wear for long.
