Searched on what could cause the issue of headlights just turning off and found there was a recall on this relay. U was over the recall miles and ordered this part. Once replaced I have had not had this issue again. It has been over a month, all good so far.

Purchased this for my 2006 GMC Envoy. It was a part for a limited service bulletin in which certain vehicles would have intermittent issues with the headlights dimming and / or temporarily shutting off while driving. I actually experienced both issues with my vehicle. After I replace the headlight relay with this one, I haven't had any more issues. Its an easy remove one fuse and plug it in. Takes longer to open and prop the hood, then it does to change.

Did not know my lights were going out till one day my wife was following me and I saw the lights blinking. Thought she had a problem but then found out GM updated this relay for that problem. Wish I knew sooner

Replaced HDM for my 2007 Chevy Trailblazer last week. So far, so good. This is the "upgraded" relay and hopefully this one will stay working. I have replaced the relay twice before this with the standard part and both times it has failed in that the headlights will work sporadically. If things change, I will be back to edit my review!

This headlight controller is slightly larger than the original but fit in my Envoy relay box. I expect it to last through future summers, unlike 4 controllers of the original design.
