Frigidaire 154754502 Upper Spray Arm Assembly for Dish Washer. This spray arm simply screws into the top of your dishwasher tub. This part is actually two pieces, the spray arm and mounting nut. The spray arm simply snaps into the mounting nut, but it is already assembled. Approximately 9.5-Inch Long. Genuine replacement part.

My old spray arm kept coming off during the cleaning cycle and I replaced it with this one. It was very easy to install, you just have to screw it into place and you are done. It has been a few months since replacing and this one has done great and no longer falling off.

This part was easy to install and replaced my original part that came loose in the dishwasher. I did not have to call an appliance repair person!

First off - I don't know why everyone is buying the gasket shown in "Frequently Bought Together." My original dishwasher did not have a gasket between this and the spout on the top that it screws onto, and I've never had water under my dishwasher. I also have done 5 or 6 loads with this spray arm now, and can say the same. No washer, and no leaks. I took the panel off the bottom of my dishwasher to check. Do not buy the overpriced washer!!!! If you're going to be OCD about a washer though, just go find a compatible one at the hardware store for 50 cents.Anyway, as to the part itself, it fits my dishwasher perfectly. The original one used a compression / ball in socket sort of fitting that simply wore out after a while, making the mere pressure of the water disconnect the spray arm occasionally. The new is much sturdier as you would have to flat out break the part to accidentally undo the snap fittings. My one complaint, and the trade-off of this part is that the difference in how the coupling is designed means the part does not spin as easily. Sometimes it gets stuck and doesn't spin for a minute or two, though it doesn't do that for the whole cycle. (I checked by opening the door every few minutes on the first run to watch how this thing was behaving....ok, maybe I'm a little OCD...) That being said, this one DOES work! The dishes on the top do seem to get just as clean as the original assembly did before it began failing. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase. The decreased amount of spinning is inconsequential to the cleanliness of the dishes, and is a welcomed trade-off for knowing that this thing isn't going to snap off and leave me with a dirty top rack. And you're gullible if you buy that stupid gasket.

I happen to live in a property owned by my parents. Although I’m considered a tenant, they still treat me differently than they do their other tenants. Because of this, I don’t always tell my dad when something breaks, it depends on his mood. They’re great landlords, don’t get me wrong but I just hate having to deal with my Dad’s outbursts of frustration when something breaks and needs to be fixed. I finally came clean to him over Christmas dinner that I haven’t been able to use my dishwasher for well over a year due to the upper arm thingie breaking, again. The first time my dad was able to stick the arm back on, and it stayed there for a few months before it broke off. Unlike the other tenants, he makes me do all the research and makes me order the dang part(s), this time he even made me fix it! I am so thankful for YouTube, there are so many how to videos out there to help, just by watching a one minute long video I was easily able to replace the broken part with the new part. For what it does, I believe the part is way over priced especially when it can so easily break but compared to the price of a new one, the money isn’t too bad. If it breaks again, I know exactly where to come to order the part again. Fingers crossed it doesn’t break for a while, I hate hand washing the dishes.
