They are ideal for office or light industrial waste. Translucent plastic allows easy viewing of contents so the trash bags can also help with pilferage control. Star-bottom construction easily conforms to any size trash can and spreads trash around the bottom of the bag. The star seal, or X-seal, is designed for more even distribution of contents. Bags come in a convenient coreless roll for compact storage and easy dispensing anywhere. Rolls are perforated for easy access. The 17 micron thick bag holds 55 to 60 gallons of garbage. Bag size is 38" x 60".

I needed something inexpensive for my 13 gal, round, kitchen, foot pedal-style, trash can, and didn't want to spend $5 for 30 bags at most stores, or $100 for a larger supply. I took a chance with these bags, which are very similar to the ones used in most companies' break rooms. They are surprisingly thin, but, hold 3-5 pounds (yes, I measured them on an old analog scale, solely out of curiosity!) of kitchen waste, including dry and wet paper, food scraps, bones, packaging, etc. The only things we don't put in there are sharp-edged items, cans, bottles, etc, which are put in the recycle bin. We never let it fill up more than 80% of the way, so that it is easy to close by "spinning" the top and knotting it into itself. In the months we have used them, not a single bag has broken from the weight, though they do puncture and tear rather easily. But, there have been no discernable food or other odors from it. It comes in a box of 1000, laid out in a box of 20 rolls of 50 bags each. As of this writing, we go through 2-4 bags per week, and have yet to finish the first roll! An excellent bargain for those tired of paying a fortune for name-brand, heavier-duty (and harder to decompose), bags!

For some reason, my family loves these the most. It might be that they always get the job done with no fuss and significantly cheaper than the store. They come in an easy to dispense box and last a decent while. Going through multiple gallon size trash can bags a day sometimes, we've got to get the most bang for your buck.I can't comprehend the 1-star review for lack of color, that's a bit ridiculous. They work perfectly well as trash bags.

These bags are exactly as stated. Not heavy duty, but fine for office use as long as you are not trying to load books or rocks in them. Much cheaper than what I can buy in the store.

Too thin: They break too easily.Lesson learned: don't buy 0.31 mil thickness for carrying anything. These bags are VERY weak. I wouldn't recommend them for HOLDING anything. I bought these to use for curb-side paper recycling, but they kept breaking. We tried double-bagging, even triple-bagging, but they still kept breaking. I feel I wasted my money. In my opinion, these bags aren't for home use. They're for use in, for example, office buildings where you have a large number of small waste baskets which get emptied by a cleaning crew every single day and a good fraction of those baskets contain little, if any, trash.

For a year or so, these have been our top pick for kitchen trash bags. Thicker than the heaviest bags we can find at the supermarket, they can go right into our outside can without being overbagged. We don't particularly need tabs to tie or straps to cinch the bag closed. We just want a strong, reasonably thick bag at a good price.Of course, good things never seem to last long. All/most of the rolls in our last box are sub-par. One side of the bags is nice and thick, like usual. But the other side is noticeably thinner, more like the bags used for collecting shredded paper. (Photos we've included show opposite sides of the same bag.)We're giving this product four stars and hoping this is a one time problem.

(UPDATE 02-23-2014: Three years later and I still have over half a case left. This is a single person household amout of kitchen trash.)After factoring in all of the costs you pay only about $0.03 per bag. If you have to throw money in the trash wouldn't you rather it be 3 cents per bag than 5, 8 or 15 cents? These are really thin but are easily strong enough to use as tall kitchen garbage bags or for the office. I haven't had one break yet.

These trash bags are a great product at a great price. Our custodian will not use any other bags. : )

These are MUCH flimsier than I thought. Rip very easily. Wanted to send back from probably not worth it to pay return shipping.

these are so thin it rips where your fingers are if there is anything at all in the bag - sometimes rips just opening them

Good buy but not really sturdy. Have put fingers through bag when lifting out of can. Will be good for cans in the office where contents will be less heavy.
