Kirby is 38 years old, brush had worn down but vacuum still works great.

My Kirby is about 18 years old and it is still my best helper in the battle against dirt and dust. I wore the brush attachment out and the new one fit great and works excellent.

I use these for cleaning electronics because they are soft natural bristle that generates very little static electric charge, while still cleaning very well. The coupling is a flexible plastic that fits other standard-ish vacuum hoses, not just Kirbys.

21 years ago I answered the door to door call for the Kirby sales team. I had them come in and do the full demo and do all the haggling back and forth with them. What they didn't know was the first time Kirby came knocking I was 100% committed to buying before they even got there.Sadly after all those years some new puppies grabbed this brush when no one was looking and destroyed it. TO AMAZON I GO! Found this brush while it is not the same color as the rest of my Ultimate G tools(which I knew and didn't care) it is the exact same. It does what is should do very well.Now if I could just find that title to my Kirby so I can get a factory rebuild/refresh on it.

This fits my Kirby vacuum cleaner, but I'm not sure it's of the same quality as other Kirby products. It seems to have worn down quickly and I'm going to have to think about purchasing another soon. The bristles have flattened so that when I use it, the plastic rim rubs on what I'm vacuuming. I use for larger homes when I clean and think I need to find a commercial version so it can handle long uses. I'll have to consider buying from elsewhere in the future so I don't have to continue to repeat buy just to have it wear out quicker. I was very happy it fit my older Kirby vacuum cleaner though and the price was right, so for those reasons, I am happy with this purchases. For the durability of the product though, I am disappointed in how short term it lasted (maybe 4 months and basically 1 large house per month).

The old tool compound was harder and heavier. It had a crumbly feel to it even though it only crumbled when my puppy ate it. This one is lighter but still stout. I like the horse hair much better than nylon. Horse hair has a natural quality to not hold static and it releases dirt better meaning the surfaces are not abraded by dust particles as much. Kirby and filter queen make the best tools I have used. Too bad filter queen has a proprietary coupling. They are very professional tools. This brush is also professional and has the standard 1 1/4 inch fitting. To tell you the truth I never thought I would write a review on a vacuum cleaner tool, I am still not sure why I did except that this one is particularly nice.
