While replacing the cabin filter (one located near the battery) and air filters of the car, I discovered that this gasket had ruptured in one spot (see photo) - rendering the improper seating of the assembly.After noting the correct replacement part # I needed, I spent some time browsing the web for one that offered the best price with quick delivery. Amazon has the best price, and being a Prime member always helps.Five days after ordering, the replacement arrived - at a much lower cost than other online stores. Some online shops even ask for double the amount I paid here at Amazon, plus shipping costs.The unit is Italian-made OEM (original Mercedes replacement part) that comes in a sealed plastic bag. -- (see photos of the old and this new OEM replacement gasket and after fitment on the air filter housing).Installation is easy (lots of online videos on how to do it), and I am so glad that Amazon has this item in stock - just when I need it!!Thanks again, Amazon!!!

My Mercedes recently hit 150,000 miles so ive been doing alot of preventative maintenance and replacing the old air cleaner seal has been on my list for awhile so I picked this one up when I saw it for a good price. I learned only to use OEM Mercedes parts or else they dont fit/work well.Received a brand new Mercedes seal. I ordered it the 17th and was in my mail box the 21st. Install is pretty straight forward, just remove the old seal and fit this new seal on.This seal came with some white stuff on it, im guessing its left over from the manufacturing process so just wiped it off with a clean microfiber towel.Be sure to apply a little bit of slide fluid to the seal before installing the air box back on.

The listing correctly does not list this as a fit for an SLK320, which it isn't. But that gasket seems about impossible to find, so I gave this one a try. The fit is loose, but it does actually appear to get the job done.If your Mercedes' check engine light comes on every time you go over a bump, check to see if your gasket at the bottom of the air box has hardened and cracked.

This gasket works like it is supposed to. It fit well and seals the filter to air manifold. Will see if it last as long as the original!
