I purchased a used Thorens TD 2001 of unknown prevenence at an estate sale, and it was in great shape but I couldn't get the old belt that came with it to stay on the spindle.I found this listing by searching the exact part number that I found for the belt in the service manual for the TD 2001. I was skeptical that the listing was really for a genuine Thorens part, let alone the exact part I was looking for because this is NOT an easy part to find. But this is the real deal, it's clearly the same part as the worn out belt I was trying to replace. It was the correct fit and now the turntable plays dead on for speed.I was also concerned that the belt maybe wouldn't be in the best condition due to poor storage over the years but the rubber was in pristine condition. I purchased an additional two because I was so happy with what I got.TLDR, listing is what it says it is and is a steal at the price it's going for. If you're hesitating because you're skeptical that this is the real deal, rest assured it is.PS - Shipped same day and was double bagged for protection.

This worked perfectly to get my TD 295 Mk II back working.

My second-hand Thorens turntable was playing a bit slow at 33, and worse at 45. Evidently the belt had been replaced with an unmarked generic band. When I received this replacement Thorens branded belt, I could feel the material difference. Now my turntable speed is accurate. The belt made all the difference.

Got for my td160 which couldn't engage the 45rpm speed properly as the belt wouldn't hop up the spindle. Replaced the belt with this one and voila...problem solved. Ridiculously proceed 29 dollar piece or rubber but heck, it'll last me another 10years.

Hi-Fi Heaven-net falsely includes "TD 125" among the 20+ models that this belt supposedly "Works on." Perhaps they were fed a line by the current Thorens. I made the mistake of purchasing its "Thorens" label and learned that this product is dangerously -- even destructively -- too short and stiff for the TD 125 Mk II. Maybe other users want to fiddle it with stretching it out, but my best advice is to get a genuinely high-quality, correctly-fitting belt from LP Gear.
