It’s perfect as a shelf above grommet hole.I wanted something:- small enough to just cover the hole, with light taking too much space from my desk;- tall enough to fit wires and an electric hub underneath- flat top surface that I can put my lamp on- opening in the front to access the electric hub, and my mug warmerIt does all the job perfectly.
