Product Description
T.R.U. CGT-80 is a High quality polyethylene coated cloth laminated to a low gloss finish film, coated with a Natural Rubber based adhesive. Excellent water, vapor and abrasion resistance. Clean removal on most surfaces (surface type & dwell time may affect performance). Suitable for entertainment type applications where minimal visibility of tape is desired. Used for holding down cable, wires, electrical cords, and in stage set-ups for marking placement (i.e. "spike" tape).

I had lots of black, white, and beige tape but needed a color that would 'disappear' (or at least not be noticed as much) when applied to wood finishes.This tape worked well and -- the true test of good gaff tape -- is easy to remove at the end of the event.

Needed a semi-permanent solution to mark the top dead center of my steering wheel for race applications.This worked perfect and I have a lifetime supply in one roll. Have used it for a couple months and has held up extremely well.

I order these 3-4 at a time. The brown is perfect for my ballroom carpet. Each roll is large and last quite some time. Since they are 3" wide, it is easy to cover several cord at once. The adhesion is exactly what is needed, but yet does not leave residue on my carpet. I will continue to purchase these, especially at the price. This is the best value I have found, so far.

There is a quality about gaffer tape and why we spend so much on the real thing. This is 1/2 the price of real gaffers tape and performs 1/2 as well. Yes, it is cloth and tears like gaffer tape, but when I used it to hold the carpet together in the sun, it did not hold, and it left a residue that has never gone away. And so, it is disappointing. I could not return it because I was on the road with the product. Had I been able to return it, I would have because it "just wasn't real gaffers tape." Better than duct tape? Yeah, a bit better. It is nice and wide. But it's not real gaffers tape.
