My son started percussion this year in 4th grade and this is perfect for him. It's an excellent value over renting. The stand adjusts to his height and holds the bells nice and tight. The bells themselves have a nice crisp sound and the drum pad is a nice bonus. Our only minor complaint is that the included mallets were pretty flimsy and broke quickly.

This is a good beginner bell kit for kids. Sadly, the mallets break easily. One week of class and we had to go buy new mallets. (Could just be my son was excited to hit something) During second term of school the bag rips from the bells and stand rubbing on the fabric. We had to replace the bag. It’s been a good kit so far. Sounds better than the rentals. During band bell concerts you can really hear your child’s bells. It has a good round tone to them.

This set is very nice and comes with a lot of items in the bag. You get a nice carrying case, drum pad, drum sticks, glockenspiel, and stand for sheet music, and a stand for both. The sound is really magical especially when you run the paddle through all the notes at once. I love it and am so glad I purchased it. The price is also fair.

We bought this Glockenspiel at the recommendation of my daughter’s band teacher. She has band practice twice in a 6 day cycle. At home she doesn’t assemble the instrument, but rather lays the bells on the floor (without the floor stand). The hex nut has stripped and fallen off. This part is essential as it is what connects the bells to the stand. There is only one hex nut holding the two parts together, which is pretty flimsy and bound to break at some point. My husband is an engineer and has tried fixing it but it all just falls apart again. If there was a better form of connection, we’d have no issue. Kids (and adults) need to be so careful how you screw the stand into the heavy top as the nut will surely strip. We cannot afford to buy a whole new set so I’m unsure what we will do next. I highly advise looking for better, more stable, set of bells. The photos taken are as my husband is trying to work on it -again- but they show you how the whole set is dependent on the thread of 1 nut. Aside from a few tiny screws (that go with the metal plate) not shown in the photos, this is all there is to the set.I’d love to receive a solution from the seller.

Be careful assembling. Kids will easily cross thread and break to weld underneath.Sound is crisp and easy to play.Recommend buying a set of the wool mallets. Very loud with the plastic ones it comes with

I bought this for my 7 year old grandson who loves music. It is a really nice instrument with terrific sound. Very well made. Compact and portable. So much better than the toy glockenspiels that are around. He can play real tunes on this. He loves it.

Ah ha! I figured out the music stand. There are four prongs on the lower part of the stand. The two short prongs are turned down to fit into the slots in the actual glockenspiel. The width of the stand must be adjusted so the prongs fit perpendicular. The two longer bent angular prongs are turned up to hold the music book. The picture lies, it has all the prongs facing down so it can't hold a book. The glock itself has a very nice sound. The mallets are not good quality. Buy better ones.
