I did run into the issue of the axle push-button being depressed due to outward forces from the frame. It was easy enough to use my body weight to push the bottom legs of the frame towards each other so that the axle holders would have more clearance at the ends. Otherwise it came with a few blemishes on the finish where I can see it'll rust eventually but overall this is a solid piece of equipment and holds 200' of hose perfectly.

I bought this because of the auto feeding function. I have over 200 ft of hose and if it is not fed on the reel somewhat uniformly, it can turn into a mess to unwind.Unfortunately a key part was not included in the shipment so assembly is incomplete and an assessment of use is not possible. The vendor has been contacted and I expect the part to be shipped ASAP.Update might come later. The safelty issues is related to one of the axle shafts having a metal splinter about mid point. I slid my had over the shaft and promptly sliced my little finger about 3/8 long. I am sure this is an anomaly and will not be found very often. Both address quality control of parts, finish and completeness.I am excited to use it once I get it assembled. It is a lot of money for what it is. But that is coming from a design engineer who is aware of gross parts costs vs MSRP. There isn't much competition for the features and quality of this unit.I would recommend it at this point in time.Update 7/28/21: After contacting the seller several times asking when the part would arrive, I fabricated my own (second picture). It worked great and I was able to use the cart.It works really well in terms of rolling the hose on the reel. It even works with the connection between the two hoses. There is a release for the guide for pulling the hose out. Locating it correctly when reeling it is is a snap, full of water or not.I am concerned about rust over time. The only improvement I would make is to add a lock on two of the wheels to keep the cart from rolling when pulling the hose out. The connection from the feeder hose to the cart leaks water when it is first turned on but then seals up. I didn't see a leak once pressure was built up. This is a critical connection because it allows the reel to turn against a stationary connection. With regard to assembly, I did not have much difficulty. Just use common sense to make up the deficiency in the instructions. I did not have any issues with fitment or functionality. As long as the QC improves and customer service gets a faster turn around, it is good buy risk.

First unit arrived with one of the welded on axle holders misaligned, so you could not insert the axle through both sides. One of the axles was also missing one of the spring loaded detents that hold the wheels on (they no longer use cotter pins that I saw in earlier reviews). Can't fix/repair the misaligned welded on joint. Returned.Second unit arrived today. The wheels don't stay on either axle. The spring loaded detents that hold the wheels on don't stick out far enough through the axle to truly trap the wheel and the wheels themselves can push down on the rounded detent and come right off. Can't move this thing a single foot without a wheel coming off. I will drill some holes and add cotter pins as I need this now and can't go through another return. Also for the return, it takes a month (so they say) to inspect the unit for damage and credit you back and in the meantime you have to purchase a new one if you want a replacement. If I didn't need this right now and waste a week with getting a new unit, I would return this and get something else. Most of it looks beefy and well designed overall and the powder coating is nice. Axles have been around a long time. This shouldn't be that hard. Very poor quality control overall and the design of the wheel/axles is not good.

This item is well made and it took a bit to assemble, but the parts/pieces are high quality and well made.I had a bit of a concern with some items and customer service promptly took care of them. Great Customer Service. It really added icing to the cake so to speak. In the end I had an exceptional tool that functioned better than my expectations. One thing different about this hose reel vs some others I have had in the past is how the hose is guided onto the drum. The guide is below the drum vs a more traditional over the drum guide system. It took me a bit to get used to it, but it functions just as well. The hand crank makes to very easy to wind the hose on to the drum. I love it!!! I recommend this to anyone looking for a long lasting hose reel/cart.

The quality is okay. Not worth the price thou. Part of it comes preassembled but mine was done wrong. I had to take it apart and fix the errors. The wheels are light weight, which will make it easier to push. However it's so light when I try to reel in my 150' of hose I have to stand on the cart to keep it from tipping over. I didn't have to do that with my older model with heavier steel wheels and rubber tires.150' of hose if the limit for this thing. It's a lot smaller than my older one.I'd say it's an okay reel cart, but the price is about $80 to much for what it is. Cheap China junk.

I love how compact this hose reel cart is. And sturdy. It's so much easier to handle, and move around, than my old one (not a Giraffe). And, of course, I have to mention the attachment that helps roll the hose back, onto the drum. What a great addition that is. Not fighting with the hose, anymore.Love my Giraffe Hose Reel Cart !

Very sturdy hose reel. The 4 wheels makes it easier to move and balance.
