This hat is SO cute! My niece put it on and then only took it off to sleep for a few days. She loves it! She's 9, and it fit great - the adjustment velcro in the back seemed to work fine, and would accommodate a larger head for sure, and probably a bit smaller. The mesh bowl of the hat seemed to fit her a bit loosely, and the trucker style meant it was plenty roomy. So a larger head (or big hair) wouldn't have a problem in that regard. A much smaller head might get a bit lost in the mesh part, tho the band can be adjusted tighter to fit.So I'd say this would fit pre-teen and older (including adult), but likely be too big for 5-6 year olds.

I was afraid this hat might be too big for my five year old, but thankfully it fits! I can’t get her to keep typical sun hats on her head, not to mention the wind easily blows them off at the beach. This one seems like it will stay in place, especially with a ponytail to help. She also likes that the bill will help keep water off her face when she’s playing on a splash pad. Very pleased!

The Cap is super cute in person but still big for my 6 yrs old girl. The strap is adjustable but still big. We will try using this next year.

I finally found a hat that fits my kids head. We had bought a few that were claimed to fit a kids head up to 10 years old but ended up too small for my 5 and 7 year old. These are the PERFECT size and they love these hats.

Bought these and glued on initials for my girls! They best part is it has the “pony tail” hole and this keeps them on all day and hair off their necks!

Definitely not suitable for younger kids. I’m 25 and it fits me fine. Way too big for my 5 year old.
