I use this kit to make a lot of ice for my morning smoothie. The mallet is sturdy, smooth, well made, easy to swing. The bag is thick enough to stand up to being repeatedly beaten. I had planned to buy an old fashioned "ice cracker" (plastic handle/metal striker) and saw this kit. It was well reviewed. Looked pretty eco friendly. And it works great. They ask you to rinse the bag afterward (?) and then hang it to dry. The bag dries easily. No regrets.

My husband and I love to make tiki drinks and bought this for making crushed ice versus using the blender. It is great! Crushing up the ice is easy (and cathartic) and no mess. This was recommended by a friend who teaches cocktail classes and is a great addition to our bar supplies

Got this last week and have already used it a few times. Looked at a few options for making crushed ice and this was the easiest (no machines) and fun. The mallet and the bag are made of good quality materials worthy of displaying in my bar. I could hold the bag in my palm and crush as I was concerned about crushing on the stone countertop. Got good crushed ice for my drinks. After use must empty the bag or leave in the sink to avoid water over the countertop.

After watching Michael make the perfect cocktail on Southern Charmed using a bag and mallet just like this, I had to have one!I do a lot of traveling and when I travel regionally I drive. I always bring my own bar set up and this was a perfect addition to my bar kit.Easy to use and easy to store. The mallet is sturdy as well as the bag and allows you to crush the ice to the perfect texture for your cocktail. My friend was so jealous when we traveled together, she insisted that I give her the link! She bought one for herself and 3 as gifts.

For such a simple project, it's nicely made and works perfectly. I would have ice cubes in a zip bag. But, since the cubes all freeze together, breaking the ice resulted in a destroyed, leaking zip bag. Moving the ice into the bag, and using the mallet (it's really nice!), solves the problem.

We were hoping for something better. It isn’t completely what we were expecting. Because it does not smash the ice as expected. It crushes some of the ice and some of the ice aren’t being crushed too well.But we still use it. Because after all, it crashes some of the ice so we have crushed ice.

I like the simplicity of crushing ice with this product. The mallet is well made, just the right size and weight. The canvas bag is well stitched together, nice weight of material, dries out nicely.

I found this product performed exactly as described. That’s saying something since I am recovering from a three week hospital stay and no where close to the strength I had before. But I’ll do anything for ice chips! So glad I purchased!

Un elemento perfecto para picar el hielo y muchas otras cosas.Yo lo uso para cascar las pinzas del marisco grande, como el bogavante. La madera no es muy dura y va teniendo marcas. Pero funciona. Le he hecho una mejora fundamental: le he adaptado en la boca del saco un CIERRE DE VELCRO y asà el hielo no se escapa.
