I purchased these for my 5 year old so his new glasses that he just got would stay nice and fit on his head but these straps are not for kids ages 5. These are adult ones.

I was looking for something to hold my reading glasses around my neck until I needed them, but these straps are more for sports when you need to keep your glasses from falling off your face.They do come in nice colors + black and the adjustable strap stays in place. It was a little difficult to get the arms of my glasses into the slots, but once they were in there, they stayed put.They are definitely great for what they are made for, so if you need to keep your glasses from falling off of your face, these will work.

They are very comfortable to wear - actually my glasses DO NOT feel any different with one of these straps on. I cannot tell that I am wearing it ... until I go to take my glasses off! For my "big" male adult head the strap still has enough slack that I can slide 4 fingers between it and the back of my head. If I (gently) pull my glasses off the arms just barely make it past my ears... so my glasses won't be going anywhere.I bought these because was I am paranoid at times of losing my glasses... like when canoeing, looking over a veranda railing, or etc. This was a very low cost option that works very well.Just like another reviewer mentioned... these only to prevent your glasses from falling off your face. These are NOT for holding your glasses around your neck like a necklace when you take them off.The only negative comment I might have is that if your glasses' arms are wider than the width of 0.2 inches that the description specifies... these will work, and you'll get them onto the end of your glasses' arms (with a little effort), but they'll be on tight and you will have to be very very careful taking them off your glasses because they are on TIGHT. I got them off... and will still use them... BUT I'll continue to be very careful whenever I want to take them off.... and I won't be taking them off too often. I had originally thought of reducing my rating to 4 stars because of this... until I re-read the description before writing this review... So I'm out of specification... not the manufacturer ! So back to 5 STARS.You also get some "ear cushions" which fit onto the ends of your arms and also keep your glasses from coming off. Also a great option to use. Also hard to notice that you've got these on as well. These mounted firmly yet came off my glasses a little easier than the straps did... but I still prefer the straps.With 7 straps... I'm set for a long time before I need to get any more! (unless of course I misplace these ! LOL)7 of these for CA$10.97 is a GREAT DEAL.
