Replaced original tailgate handle with this one. It fit good and was a very quick and simple install. So far it’s holding up and working fine. Good option for a cost effective replacement of OEM part.

My husband has a 2003 Single Cab Toyota Tacoma and his tailgate door handle recently broke. We bought this and it was perfect. Fit like a charm and the install was easy (after watching YouTube videos). The color does not match the car, but my husband didn't feel like spray painting it to match.

Fits well, looks good! Not OEM quality. My original Toyota handle lasted for 15+ years. This is my second time purchasing aftermarket. The first lasted maybe five years. I expect that this will be a similar lifespan.

When my tailgate stopped working, I looked to YouTube for suggestions. After skimming a couple of videos, I decided the repair was easy enough and within my wheelhouse. I searched for a part that seemed to be good enough and the right fit. My truck is already old enough that it wasn’t worth finding one that would last forever, because I’d probably sell the truck off before repair would be needed again. I’ve already replaced the drivers side door handle, so I know more repairs of this nature are in the cards. Ordered the part, got it, installed it (which meant taking the cap off, which was the longest and hardest part of the repair). Simple repair and now I know I can trust my tailgate for the next twenty years.
