Type F Cam and Groove Fitting
This type F camlock (Cam and Groove) fitting has a male camlock quick connect adapter on one side and male NPT theads on the other side. The male camlock side of this coupler will only attach to a female camlock. The male threaded side will connect to female NPT (National Pipe Tapered) threaded pipe.
The body of this cam and groove fitting is made of aluminum. Aluminum cam lock fittings are lightweight and are corrosion and abrasion resistant. These cam and groove fittings are suitable for use with water, hydraulic oils, coolants, gasoline, and other petroleum products.

I use the male and female side of these connectors with a water transfer pump and they are freaking awesome . They make hookups and disconnections so much faster And easier.

Corrosion on one side of the fitting when it arrived. Who knows from what. Used anyway and it works well.

Used these cam locks on suction hoses for trash pump. Have sold these type fittings in the past throughout the oilfield in Louisiana , seem to be as good as any.

Comparing this to standard NPT pipe. It goes into the fitting less than half as far and leaks even with pipe dope. The threads also had flaws. I would not buy this ever again. Since it is now scratched up from wrenchesl, it most likely cannot be returned. I also bought another fitting by this company and have the same problem with the threads on it when put on an aluminum 2 in npt. Aluminum threads self destructed against aluminum. IMO not a good brand. The only thing that I bought out of three parts that worked was a cap that had no treads. NOT HAPPY.
