These are great for apps, drinks or any small thing you might want to grill - soak picks first for grilling. They are sturdy enough to wash if you really wanted to - but they are biodegradable too. I would buy these again without hesitation. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. These skewers are the perfect size for us when we make kebabs at home. We like to make our own kebabs with either chicken or lamb cubes and vegetables. We alternate meat with vegetables (peppers, onion slices, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes) and the length is just right for 3-4 chucks of meat. I really like using bamboo rather than metal - it just looks more "user friendly". I know there are many lengths of bamboo skewers available but this is the one we like and re-order every few months. The flat part on one end also makes them easier to handle. Highly recommend!

These are OK. A bit too thick...had a hard time getting my onions not to break in half while skewering. I soaked them for 20 minutes before grilling, and one completely burned through and my food fell into the charcoal. Will use the rest for fruit or something.

We don’t like those overly-long bamboo skewers, because meat is too heavy for them . These are very sturdy and the perfect size for single servings of kebabs or anything else you want to make. Highly recommend!

We used these for a wedding catering gig, for chicken satay. These are very sturdy and have a nice elevated feel compared to standard bamboo skewers. I would definitely purchase again. Attaching a pic next to a #2 standard pencil to give an idea of size.

Although the skewers appear to be good quality & I like the end of the skewer for easy handling, the actual skewer part is not flat.

I like these better than the round type because it seems to hold food better. They look great on the grill and do the job perfectly.
