This is a nice checkbook cover that feels like it's padded somewhat. Does the job of holding checks and checkbook register although for my need, the plastic is on the wrong side of cover and it's not interchangeable. Nice cover though, it works fine.

This is a nicely stitched, well tanned and colored bi-fold checkbook cover. It came beautifully wrapped in tissue and cellophane in a gift worthy presentation package. I bought a different color for each of my checking accounts. It helps me find them quickly when needed. These are soft top grain leather with a sturdy fabric backing (not thick full grain boot & belt leather). A well made pocket on both sides for standard perforated pads of checks and a standard issue register. There is a nice clear vinyl flap to bookmark the register page. There are no extra pockets or storage slots for credit cards and such, nor room. There is a double slit pen holder strap cut into the inside fold, but there is not room for a pen. Due to space limitations you must choose between the checkbook or the pen. The cover might stretch over time to fit a slim stick type pen. I was happy with the price for a "Luxury Checkbook Cover".

I have been looking for a quality checkbook cover for awhile. I actually bought another one because this one had so many reviews stating it wouldn't close with both checks and register inside. The one I bought was way to bulky and the leather was very stiff. I ended up returning that one and bought this one. I'm so glad I did. The leather is very soft and flexible, sturdy enough that I know it will last a long time. As far as it not closing, it closes just fine with both checks and a register, add a regular pen and not so much. I thin pen is OK. It's a soft leather so if you want your favorite pen in this with your checks close your pen inside and keep it closed with a rubber band for a couple days it will stretch and form to the pen and Stay closed without the rubber band in no time. I attached a picture of it closed with a new pad of standard checks (50 checks) and a new premium register (48 pages) to show it does stay closed on it own.If yourb looking for a quality checkbook cover that, literally, won't fall apart at the seam, you found it.

I was very pleased with the construction of the checkbook, and the color was spot on. It was not thin or flimsy and should hold up very well.

The checkbook will work but I need to add a piece of cardboard underneath the plastic divider used to separate the checks. It’s a half inch too short and if I were to write out the amount of the check solely under the plastic divider alone I would not be able to start writing at the left edge of the line—which is how the banks advise one to write out the amount of the check.I’ll have to look for a different way to attach my pen because it won’t fit in the pen holder and allow the checkbook to close properly. I use one of the “security” pens that have ink that is hard for people who steal checks to remove the ink.I do like the color (gray) and the weight of the checkbook. It’s not too heavy. And the book of checks does fit great in the checkbook. I just wish the plastic cover was longer so it would cover the entire check. To be able to store the pen inside inside the checkbook would have been a nice feature.
