Flat round piece of goatskin without hair. Thickness: Medium- approximately 0.015 of an inch. This equates to the approximate thickness of 4-5 sheets of printer paper.
All skins sold "AS IS". We do our best to eliminate skins that have possible defects; however, our prices are based on an "as is" basis. This means, on average, you can expect to lose one out of ten skins. Obviously the tightness during installation will alter this ratio, so figure this loss in your cost.

i havent installed it yet. but it soon will be tacked to a minstrel banjo rim. looks good, should get thal old style look and sound from this skin.

Honestly when my drum head ripped I was in a bind. I am a djembe player and the head is quintessential to any good musical performance. I loved this goatskin head as a product but I would only say three stars because of the size. I might have misread however it totally didn't work with my 16inch drum head. so don't do that get a larger skin if you are every in doubt.

price was low I took a shot, I'll have to get something else. Very thin like paper thin. Not worth it

Very pleased with your end on this product. Just as described, fast shipping. Everything perfect. I still ordered it a little small tho. I got this for a 14" djembe... shoulda got a 18" head, the extra inches are necessary to cover good and allow for tuning, etc... Thanks!
