Don't go off of some people's reviews regarding the ARC or distance accuracy or even sight. They just haven't figured out how to use it. I compared this side by side to a friend's more expensive one and it is dead on. Flat plain and angle distances as if shooting from a tree stand. You gotta use mode 2 for the angle compensation. It's the golf mode. Took a 20yrd reading horizontal to target then when up onto my deck and it was reading 26 yards but compensated and read underneath that 20yrds. Showing both angles on screen. It also shows the angle/slope degrees that you are currently to the target. As of golf use i have no idea. It does focus for a really clear view also. Just turn the eye piece. Easy to use. One press power button turns on. Holding power button activates range finding. One press mode button changes modes from 1 horizontal distance to target. Or actual distance. Mode two is arc style (golf setting, angle comp etc). Mode 3 is speed or something I've never used. Holding mode button changes reading from Meters To Yards and vise versa. No background screen light. It's light weight. Not sure on battery life or if rechargeable but will find out shortly. Lanyard/tether or whatever you call it is extremely tough to install. Alot of patience. Just push string through as best you can and try and grab the loop on other side with a sewing needle or some sort of needle point pick. Similar to what dentist use. Decent for the price no doubt. I see no real difference from one that cost over 100$. Except my buddy's felt alittle heavier and more solid and his screen was colored and lit to make viewing readings great in low light.

I really like this product I bought to replace my older range finder and really like the simplicity of it and accuracy for bow hunting.

I bought this for my son to use now that he is going to be hunting in a different stand than I. I wanted angle compensation and a display color other than black. This was well reviewed and fit the budget as his first rangefinder.I was immediately pleased with the quiet magnetic case closure as opposed to a loud snap button or plastic buckle. The unit is a little large and “hollow†as if purposely oversized even though the electronics don’t use the space. This will be helpful while wearing gloves and it isn’t a problem, just noticeable. It does use an unusual battery, CR2, so make sure you keep a spare on hand just in case. This unit has more display features than my Vortex Ranger 1800. I like that the angle is displayed on the screen and that a rifle icon is displayed in angle compensation mode as opposed to the golf flag in regular ranging mode. The green display is easy to read and bright though just a touch from being crisp and clear. Not an issue, just something to know. A fun feature that we haven’t tried is the “speed†mode which works like a radar gun. I definitely don’t have that on my Vortex. The rest of time will tell but we’ve had this out hunting a few times already and my son loves it. I believe it has a three year warranty which is wonderful just in case. This rangefinder seems to be all anyone looking for a budget unit could want and more.

I bought this disposable rangefinder for $71 when I realized I had lost my beloved Sig Kilo and had an upcoming hunt later in the week. All in all I've been extremely satisfied, as it easily ranges animals to 400 yds and large reflective surfaces double that consistently. Unlike more expensive range finders its performance vary a lot with light conditions - the darker it is, the better it works. At night I was able to range rock sides out to 1800 yd! I was also happy that my unit really ranged right in the middle of the reticle - sometimes even nice units can be off a little bit, but not this one. Also, like with all laser range finders, regardless of price, the ranges are accurate to within a yard or so. It ranges fast. In golf mode it gives both true range and angle. It also offers that dinky "horizontal distance" if you're too lazy to use a proper ballistic calculator and don't care so much about wind drift. Furthermore It is not waterproof, the yardages are not illuminated, so hard to see during low light conditions. No good way to put a retention loop on it. Optically its poor light transmission and not very clear picture. Again, you paid 71 bones for it, what did you expect?

Update : Since my original review, the seller has issued me a full refund, we'll after the return/refund/replace window had expired. That's good customer service in my opinion........ Always been under roof, never rained on, yet it's obviously full of moisture. It's meant to be used outdoors, if it's going to do this just from temperature change it's not worth having !!! JUNK !!

I was happy to receive this item, it does work as intended but as I read through the manual I found that it should have had the green lit display as well. Which it does not. The manual was specific to this model, that is why I am disappointed

Such a shame. Packaged great, nice case, nice design. It’s super light..very cheap feeling plastic..damn near hollow. The light up feature shines a crappy green light inside the unit which you (or animals) can clearly see from the other end. The battery compartment seems to have emotional problems because, you look at the thing wrong and the battery cover falls off. Also mine seems to work intermittently, getting blurry and illegible. Sending back
