Jinruisi Metal Foil Sheets for Art Craft

Easy to apply with gilding adhesive/Size
Some guides for beginner of Gilding
Step 1: Clean the surface
Cleaning and or sanding the surface you plan to embellish. If your item has a more porous surface, you may need to apply a sealer before starting with the gold leaf.
Step 2: Brush on adhesive
Use a brush to apply a thin and smooth coat of gilding glue size on the item in your desired design. Wait for the adhesive to dry until it becomes slightly tacky.
In the photos,we use JINRUISI waster-base gilding glue size to gild the shell with metal leaf sheets.You can get it in our store.
Step 3: Apply metal leaf
Take your sheets of metal leaf and place them on the areas with the adhesive. Since the sheets of metal leaf are very thin and tear easily, handle it slightly. Use your fingers to smooth the metal leaf flat on the adhesive strips to prevent bubbles or divots.
Step 4 :Remove unused leaf
Smooth wrinkles with your fingers or a clean, dry paintbrush. Trim the excess gold leaf around the edges of the plate. Due to the delicate nature of gold leaf, be careful not to damage the edges of your plate design when removing additional material. You can discard your leftover metal leaf or save for a future project.
Step 5:Apply sealer
If your think it is necessary.This kind of colored metal leaf foils is not easy to tarnish compared with imitation gold leaf or copper leaf sheet.If you do not touch the surface with metal leaf foils,you do not need to apply a varnish or sealer to protect it.But if you like,you can apply sealer to protect your art work.

I compared 3 different gold leaf sets to write this review. This set of sheets added a major pop of color! If you want to use gold foil leafing and you want a color other than the traditional gold, then this is the set for you! Each sheet was individually wrapped and measured approximately 3.5" square. You can store the sheets in the box they came in. These sheets were smaller compared to some of the others, but I don't think that was problematic. However, if you will need to use multiple sheets to cover your surface area. I'd definitely purchase these again!

Great great foil. The sheets are a little on the smaller side, but they have such a vibrant color! I added it my polymer clay jewelry and it has overpowered even the gold I had from another brand. It has added such a beautiful tint to them, I am going to buy other colors as well. Will recommend for sure!
