We absolutely love this mirror for our rear facing toddler!! We have had a couple other name brand mirrors that just did not work as well as this one. The mirror itself was easy to install, it has the typical straps that snap on around the head rest and tighten the mirror, so it does not wiggle around too much. We love the timer feature on this, because there were many times we would forget to turn the mirror off after getting all the kids out of the car and the batteries would be dead the next day. It's nice to have a 30-minute and 60-minute timer. There are several colors to choose from or you can set it to fade between the colors. The LED lights are nice and vibrant, but you can also turn the brightness down so it doesn't interfere with driving at night. The only thing I wish this came with was something to clip the remote to the visor or something. We are lucky to have a compartment we can keep this in so it doesn't get lost but it could easily be floating around the car if we forget to put it back.

Got a regular cheap mirror for when the baby came and it’s fine, but only when we went on a long road trip did we realize that when it got dark I couldn’t see anything in the mirror with no light on. This solves that problem! I’m not the biggest fan of having the light shine right in the kids face but being able to control it with a remote that I can stick on the console is worth it. Plus you can dim and change the colors to suit your needs and so it’s not so offensive for them. It also has a color cycle function which fades through different colors gradually.I would recommend just getting a Velcro tab and stick one side to your dash and the other to the remote so you can grab it easily.Works on AAA batteries which is also preferable compared to built in batteries so you can just pop in new batteries instead of not being able to use it at all when it dies.

This mirror has been a helpful upgrade for nighttime drives, but it’s not without its flaws.- The built-in light is much needed for visibility in the dark, with dimmable and color-changing options. However, it defaults to the brightest red setting when turned on, which is undesired for us. Maintaining the last setting would be an appreciated upgrade.- The use of replaceable AAA batteries over rechargeable ones allows for quick swaps without recharging downtime, or running cables around kids. The mirror can be removed from the mount for battery changes without messing with the straps, which is thoughtful in their design.- While the straps secure the mount well, the mirror itself has too much play between it and its mount and becomes slightly wobbly.The light shines directly on the baby, which isn’t ideal especially because it defaults to the brightest red setting when turned on. Indirect lighting would have been better.Also, that direct light causes a glare that makes it hard to see the baby; the mirror could benefit from being more convex to improve visibility as well as reduce direct light impact and glare.The remote control is convenient but easy to misplace. As other reviewers have recommended, adding a clip or Velcro attachment option would help keep it accessible.While this mirror is functional and offers great lighting features, it’s not perfect. The wobbly design and direct light are big drawbacks, but its replaceable batteries and remote control add convenience. For now, it’s a solid option, but I’ll keep looking for a more ideal solution.

I wish I had this when I was pregnant with my kiddos. I bought this for my stepdaughter who just had her first baby. She absolutely loves it, especially being a first time mom who worries a lot. The light makes it possible for her to see the baby at night and she loves how you can dim it so it’s not too bright while driving at night or too bright for the baby’s eyes. She also loves that you can change the colors and makes it fun for the baby to look at. It comes with a remote for easy access and it installed rather easily. I’m so glad she loves it!

Finally, a way to check on my baby without contorting myself into a pretzel! This mirror is a lifesaver (and a neck-saver). The lights are a fun bonus. I've even caught myself staring at them sometimes. Don't tell my baby.

Straight out of the box it doesn’t work. The back plate has a stripped screw and won’t even come off. The batteries are dead. Do not recommend at all.

Nice mirror that is easy to install. The light works great and comes in handy in the dark. Remote works well too.
