These things will stop a bullet. They are tall providing high protection. Fit is comfortable and will probably not break-in but I always wear double thick socks and won't need them to break-in. I am very busy and I don't have the time in my life to worry about a snake bite. Also, these are the only boots with a puncture certification

Excellent bootZipper is strong and length of the bootBut if with the strap to pull top of the boot closed over the gusset, my husband could not get past the boot top flopping back and forth. Does that make sense? He tucked his pants in and there is a lot of extra space left where it just flops. I guess you'd say it's too large at the top.However, the comfort and durability are definitely tops ! If the wide mouth will not be an issue than I'd recommend.

Perfect fit and sizing ( although instep too tight - so if your ankles/feet end up a bit puffy then these will be tight to get on and off!)Very tall and if you are long-legged- do try these! Tall and those doggone rattlers won’t jump this high! (They better not!)Hold up well to mud and clay and 4 days of solid rain and rushing creeks and wet gulleys enroute to the blind!WARM! And they withstand staying outside in the thunderstorms at night instead of bringing into camper!! LOL! These are rugged boots!Will try to remember to do another review in august when we start setting up new feeders and blinds!

The fit was perfect. I'm a female with a high arch and these are great. The way my heel fit in the boot made me stand straight and tall. There was no issue with the zipper ( y'all know what I mean) no fighting to get the train on the track.I have had many snake boots in my life , some more expensive , but I can't stress how great these are. I will post again if I come across a snake on our property and something goes wrong. Yet, if it does, I'm still gonna have a pair of good lookin boots in the ER .

Just received them today. I wear a 10.5 and ordered 11. These seem to be very well made and are very comfortable. I tried to punch a dental pick through it which is extremely sharp metal and no way it would go through. I’ll feel safe walking through snake country

I bought these to wear while walking around the West Texas hill country for rattlesnakes, but they are very uncomfortable and rubbed a blister on my ankle after several days and a few miles of walking. I kept thinking that they would break-in and relax, but after a week of suffering, I will not wear these again and do not recommend them to others for this reason. These need some additional padding on the interior for better comfort. They do seem durable and well-made, but they also need to be comfortable enough to wear all the time. I also thought they were full leather and they are not on the sides, so I was concerned that they would hold cactus needles if I rubbed against them. Overall, I do not recommend these boots.
