My husband said it was easy to install, and the water gets hot! It looks really nice, goes with our scheme. Winner! If it lasts the winter, it'll be winner, winner! I plan to drain it and wrap it, we'll see.

We are very happy with the final result from assembling and operating this product. Ours gets a half-day of sun and easily warms the running shower water to more than 80F for at least five minutes. The operating valve adjusts the outlet flow and temperature by mixing hot and cold water from separate tubes inside the unit. It will even keep the water warm overnight (air temp mid-60’s). Flow rate is good enough to rinse off sand. The unit is very top-heavy and must be secured at the base; masonry expansion bolts are provided. We built a sturdy wooden base and added a strap for safety. It is VERY important to completely drain the unit during freezing weather; otherwise ice will expand and crack components. We also bought the extended warrantee. Now some downsides:1. The instructions and illustrations are not very helpful. More views and directions are needed, especially for aligning and joining the two vertical tubes and explaining how to drain the unit.2. The threaded fittings appear to be plastic, not very durable, and do not fit tightly, so use LOTS of Teflon tape (included) to achieve a tight seal without overtightening. Cushion the couplers with a soft cloth while tigtening, the parts can crack. .3. The unit came with what appears to be one part of a quick-connect adapter. Both parts are needed to complete the male-to-male coupling with a standard garden hose. We happened to have a spare (see photo).

Install was easy, before I put it together I painted the edge connetions with black flex water seal, let it dry then connected everything, only because some reviews indicate that these type of showers leak, also used Teflon tape on all the hose connectors including the shower head, looks also and everyone loves this, no leaks at all, the smaller kids use this more than others. Will definitely buy again if I need to, also highly recommended

We live on the lake and love having company but do not love having people run through our home full of sand or dirty. I saw this and thought why not give it a try? We had a big party the last weekend in July and it was a life saver. Everyone loved the fact that they could rinse off outside and not have to use cold well water. AAAA++++

It's easy to assemble and use. Just hook up a hose and you'll get free hot water from the sun. Just remember that there must be plenty of sunlight on the shower column to heat the water. Just like a more expensive shower, adding cold water is mixed with solar heated hot water to control the temperature well. Good water pressure for easy use at any time of year.
