Had a pair last 5 years for our oldest to pass to the youngest. Started to lose some waterproofing at that point so made sure to get a second pair. The zipper will save your soul, easy enough to not battle my 3-year old to get them on. I don't know why you wouldn't buy these. Super warm in deep snow here in Michigan

These are definitely not waterproof at all. Used them once a week all season last year. My daughters fingers were wet and cold every single time. I will say they are very easy to get on. I’ll be getting gortex for this ski season.
