torch well made but the ba-3 tip is better suited for large copper lines. I had to order the opt. ba-2 tip

This was exactly what I needed to do my light soldering. Though I still can't figure how they tighten the "B" tank connection fitting into the regulator. The tolerance is so close there's no room to get anything on the pipe to screw it in. Also, there is hardly no room on the fitting either just a slight surface on the flats but not enough to get a socket on,. Somebody will have to explain that one to me. All I have to say is they want to make sure they don't waste money on giving you an extra !/2 inch of 1/4 inch brass pipe. This is the old - Prest "O" Lite torch, feather flame, quiet. If you need to sil-braze. or need to solder large fittings, valves, etc then, you need the turbo torch. Just for info if you need the adapter for an "mc" tank it's CGA520 to CGA200. Then you have options now to use either the mc or B tank.

I use this set for silversmithing and it is basically the same set I used when plumbing. Attached to a B-tank it does what its supposed to do. There are some, minor, issues with flow and the knob that can make keeping my flow constant. Even a light brush against the flat side will cause the flow to spike or fall. Beyond that, it is sturdy.

I am a residential appliance repair technician. I regulalry replace small compressors and other sealed system components in typical refrigerators. I have been using oxygen and acetylene to braze the joints for years. Was hoping to save some weight with this rog but even with the biggest tipnit is not hot enough to properly braze. I'm sure it works great for soldering. I have other uses for it. Just providing this info for anyone elae that may be looking at this kit for the same reason as I did. Well made and quality product. Just not what I needed.

This torch for the prestolite outfits was much better than what I thought it would be. I have now went and bought bigger tips and even smaller tips for it it, this torch is just what I needed to do home plumbing
