Poorly made. We put it together and started a game. As soon as the 7 yr old touched the ball with the mallet the handle broke. We continued just to have a second mallet break in the same way. This set is poorly made and junk. I am trying to return it.

This is a nice little set with wooden mallets and balls. It's got metal wickets included so you can set up your path anywhere or anyhow you want. I like that it all fits back in the box so it's portable, you can take it to the park or to family events, etc as well as just play in your own yard. Cute classic design. Fun way to spend a sunny afternoon!PS for those who watch Bridgerton - yes, you can play Pall Mall with this set.

This has the feel of an inexpensive set. All the wood pieces are made of light wood, seems like hard wood but does not have the 'heft' of real hardwood. The balls play ok, mallets have stood up to some pounding (but fairly gentle compared to how some kids play ...) Nothing broke for us, YMMV. The set comes with a single sheet of instructions for 6 wicket court. It says there are 6 wickets in the set, but ours came with 10. We always play 9 wicket court, with a center wicket, 4 side wickets, and 2 sets of 2 at each end, where the stakes are placed. There are lots of instructions on line, just google a bit. The wickets came folded into a flat shape - you have to fold them open to use them, and they are square once open. (They just don't look right - wickets are supposed to be rounded at the top : - ). Can recall the original price; set now seems to be no longer available so all this discussion is probably pointless...(?)

I ordered this set for our senior center. We occasionally have outdoor activities and are always looking for low-stress activities. Croquet is perfect and this set is what the doctor ordered.

This is a great outdoor game and set, perfect for summer time, very durable and well made. Our kids really enjoy playing croquet, very fun and entertaining game. Great size and comes with a storage bag to store it all in. Great value for the money, makes for a great gift or raffle prize as well. Easy to store and carry with you, perfect fun game for the whole family.

I've never played croquet before, but my husband says this one reminds him of a nice set his grandparents had when he was a kid and brings back a lot of great memories. It's a lot of fun and doesn't take up much room to store, which is a huge plus.
