I found these lights to be easy to install into our walkway into our home. The quality of the stakes is very nice and the look of the lights is incredible and function well. The different preset schemes were nice, I wish there could be more. I’m sure this will come with updates. So far, my lights have been water and snow resistant and easily dimmable.

I’m a huge Govee fan boy. These are no exception to that love. I got them on sale. They work. They are nice and bright. I just wish there was a way to extend them.Overall. Govee produces a quality product. The stands in these are a bit small. The new version fixes that. However. I love them. And I love the colors and look it provides.

Govee has become my go to brand for lighting and I have several sets. This one just may be my favorite! I set these up the day they came and I absolutely love how they look. Some things mentioned in other reviews: The size - they are smaller than I anticipated, but I actually like that they are smaller. Any bigger and they would have looked funny. The spike is small, but plenty long enough to hold them down and I am not concerned about it breaking off pushing it into the ground as I have done many times with various solar lights. Pay attention to how you are snapping the spikes on, there is a wrong way and a right way and they will pop off easily if they aren't snapped on correctly. The cord length - you have about 12.5 feet from the first light to the plug. That was plenty for me, but could be a consideration for some. The brightness - look in the app, everything is customizable. I have had an issue connecting them to wifi, but I think that has more to do with my router than the lights because it is on my list of things I need to replace so I won't dock a star for that. You do not need wifi for them to work perfectly. I have mine set to turn on and off at set times and that has worked perfectly even without wifi. We did have some significant heavy rains since I installed them and I woke up to 2 of them under water and they show no signs of damage from that. I did wrap plastic bags with zip ties around the connection point and whatever the power box thing is on the cord , but I do plan on buying water proof boxes just to be safe. The box does indicate they are fully waterproof, but the description here says otherwise so I dont want to take a chance.One thing to note with all of the previous Govee products I have purchased - if the power goes out, when it comes back on your home will look like you are throwing a disco party at 2am. They all default to ON and have to be turned off. I don't know if that is the case yet with this particular set, but I thought it would be worth mentioning.All in all Govee gets 5 stars in my book and this set is no exception!

The lights are nice. The Govee app is easy to use and the lights have plenty brightness. They are ground lights, but the power supply is “dry location”. I’m not sure about the switch - but to be safe, I would also have that in a dry location.There is not 36 feet of lights. It’s more like 22. The rest of the length is cord between the power supply and the switch, and the switch to the lights. Keep that in mind when considering your needs. The set I bought won’t work where I planned - but I have other options.I would buy again- now that I know some of the limitations.

Love these lights and how you can customize the colors how you want! 10/10

Updating Jan 2nd, 2024This is the third review I've completed about these lights.My first set was a year ago. I was so thrilled with the lighting combinations, options, ability to use an app to coordinate my Govee products and have the same light pattern synced to all devices which was really helpful decorating for Christmas with a universal theme. My first set failed in a rainstorm, so they sent me another set no problem. I learned from the first set that just because they are labeled outdoor lights- the power supply "box" I supplied a picture of is not waterproof. Ok- no problem so I put the power supply in a waterproof box and thought it was good enough to protect the lights. We had a long dry summer, not much rain at all so I didn't think about the light issue anymore and enjoyed my lights all summer. Fall comes and we get some rain. I come out and notice my lights aren't on and they have stopped working again because it rained and the power box shorted i guess. I contacted Govee who told me they can ONLY send out one set of lights as a replacement- their system doesn't "allow" them to send any more. **Note this issue dear reader if you too have to replace them**. So while upset about it, I move on with life. I get an email from Amazon indicating someone has asked a question about these lights regarding their ability to handle the wet weather and if I wanted to answer the question. I did- i shared my experience and recommended that this person look at other lights due to this problem. I then receive a seller email from Govee a couple weeks later aaking if i would like my lights replaced. Remember they can't send more than one set right?? I say ok, why not, I'll try again. When i receive them, i take extra measures to keep the light power box protected from water. I get everything synced up for Christmas and couldn't be happier. It rains. The lights fail. Again. I contacted Govee, explained what happened and gave them the opportunity to replace the lights with a set that can actually withstand water before i updated my review. All of a sudden, again, they cant send out but one light set. Im confused by outdoor lights that can't get wet, sending light replacements at will but can't send but one out, (when it suits them I guess) and no real advice or support on how to protect these lights from the inevitable rain that WILL fall. Ironically during this my Govee humidifier stopped producing humidity, it was 3 months old. Govee has a great product but it they dont hold up. Outdoor lights that can't get wet???I liked the lights enough that i *would* buy a special protector for the power box, but remember, I DID put the power box in a protector, Maybe Govee needs to make one. If you live somewhere it never rains- you are all set. Im more irritated about the fact i was told they only send out one set of lights, reach out to me out of nowhere, send another set that fails and then refuse to send a replacement. Understand if you ever have issues after the sale you will go into a loop like this.Second Review from March 2023I ordered my first set a year ago. I love the light combinations, easy schedule settings and access to the Govee App which is informative and you can get user created settings, etc which is great feature. These are so easy to setup, they come with little stakes that easily snap on and mount into the ground. The color is fantastic and I'm loving them. It rains. I had taken special care to make sure the plug in was protected and the little power box was covered. I guess i didnt protect them enough and when i went to turn them on- they would not turn on. I contact Amazon and they sent an immediate replacement, easy peasy. I go thru the process again except this time i made sure i had all the plug in and control box parts super protected from the rain, including using one of the christmas light stake in the ground protectors with a cover. Good to go right? I thought so. We've had a drought all summer- very little rain. It finally rains. Once again, the lights do not work.I miss the lights. They were so pretty and i loved the different color and effect settings, etc. However, they aren't any good if they cant handle getting wet.Outdoor lights that can't get wet. Not a good product for this purpose and a waste of good money.

Look great and love the app that allows you to controls type of lighting. Power putting on the light string does not seem weather proof but I have not tested that. I have used them indoors and lol great. When I place outdoors I will put a cover over power button to protect it from the elements just in case.

These lights live up to the hype so far. Easy to install and setup. No hub needed. The spikes are short so you may want to pin the cord down with a landscape fabric staple next to each light. Get a box for the plug. The lights are brighter than you'd think. You can control the colour and brightness. Lots of preset options or you can make your own. I only needed one string of lights for my front yard but it looks so good that I'm trying to think of somewhere else I could use these so I can buy more! I'm using these as a permanent display so still need to see if they last our mild Canadian winter.

Bought these to go around my woodshed so it would match my lights around my house. The govee product is amazing and far superior than anything else out there. Probably cuz the app interface is amazing and it's all in one app. In de photo The product is on the Left handside but you can see it matches the govee pro lights

I love these lights or at least I did. They no longer connect to the Bluetooth and will not turn on. I reached out to the company earlier today and have yet to hear from them.Update:Govee’s customer service was pretty easy to deal with and they replaced the defective lights . Very happy
