My mom used these to reach high shelves when I was a kid. I thought they were best make-belief robot arms a kid could ask for. Decades later, my mom uses them to limit how often she has to struggle to get out of bed or her favorite chair. I am an adult and I am thankful that she can use these to make her day that much easier and to keep that much more of her independence. They are great devices. The squeezing mechanism is fine for me. The trigger's ease of use would depend on the person's hand strength (grip) and any arthritis or nerve issues. These easily extend one's reach, but it will still take arm and shoulder strength to lift the items. If anything, it would take a bit more because of the reach. (Imagine trying to balance a can of soda at the end of broom stick versus in the palm of your own extended hand. it takes a bit more concentration.) It's great for reaching down to grab a dropped sock, mail, keys, etc. They have rubberized grippers at the end so your stuff isn't constantly slipping away from you like the claw game that used to be inside every arcade. That being said, they're STILL fun to play with and are the best make-believe robot arms a grown man could ask for when he's bored, finds them on the kitchen counter and decides it'll be a good idea to pretend the floor is lava and the only way to load the dishwasher is to use the grabber reachers.

**5 out of 5 stars - A lifesaver for those with low mobility**I purchased this reacher grabber tool for someone who has limited mobility. I was hesitant at first, thinking it might not be very useful, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much it has helped them. The individual uses the grabber tool to pick up things off the floor. It has made their life so much easier and has given them back a sense of independence. The grabber tool is very easy to use. It is lightweight and has a comfortable grip. The jaws are strong enough and can grip a variety of objects.I would highly recommend this reacher grabber tool to anyone who has low mobility. It is a lifesaver!**Pros:*** Easy to use* Lightweight and comfortable grip**Cons:*** None that I can think of**Overall rating:**5 out of 5 stars

In general I like this. If you have back problems, you NEED to get some version of a grabber. It's huge. I also recommend a dustpan with a 90 degree handle. You can also use that to pick up things from the floor. You can use the grabber to push into dustpan.Pros:Simple to put together, easy to use. Basically works great for picking up things like clothes, trash paper (flat sheets of paper, no).Cons:It squeeks. It'll wake my wife if I use it while she's asleep.Grip strength is OK, but not great. For example, it can't pick up a laptop.A bit short. It you are over 6 feet, you'll have to bend a bit to reach the floor. I'd guess 5'11" would reach completely to the floor. at 6'1" it's ok, most stuff you want to pick up is not flat on the floor. And you can extend your shoulder to get another inch or two. If you are over 6'4", I'd get a longer one.Hard to pick up very flat things. I can't pick up my phone with this alone, if it is flat on the floor. But I have found I can pick it up enough to get my toe under it, and then I can get a better grip, and pick it up.

This is a great item to have for anyone with limited mobility. It is a lot sturdier than the first ones we got my mom. They were flimsy, and couldn't hold items safely. My husband had back issues, and he couldn't bend to grab items on the floor or up high. This was such a great tool to help him. It's sturdy. The gripper holds items safely and securely. He used it daily for a couple of months without it bending or losing gripping ability. We both still use it. I use it to reach items over my head, and he uses it to pick up items. It works well, and it's the best grabber we've tried. We've tried several different kinds. I would recommend for anyone who is looking to buy one of these.

I haven't used it much but the best place I used it was on the porch. I have wind spinners and I was able to put them up and pull old ones down without having to drag the step stool to the front porch. It worked wonderfully. I would recommend! It really helped because both knees have been replaced and it didn't have to try and get up on a step stool and worry about falling.

Conclusion first: dig for a few more pennies and buy a better version of this. This grabber does what it is intended to. It grabs. But the moment it touches your hand, you will think "wow, what a piece of crap."First, it squeaks like hell. Hope you're wearing headphones as you use it! This might be due to the rubber at work inside the mechanisms, but it's pretty laughable that everyone is ok with this.I bought this to pick up litter around my neighborhood. To that end, it works, but is frustrating in that the last 1/4" or so of closure is the toughest one to operate. The squeeze gets progressively more strenuous, meaning if you need to only grab large items, you'll be fine, but if you're going for small stuff, you will wear our your muscles over time. The grip is not very comfortable when used over time. For one item, it'll be fine, but for something like my use, where you're holding it for 2 hours+, you might even wear a blister onto your hand.In terms of measurements, I'm 5'10" and this feels on the short side. I really have to be right on top of something to pick it up, and still end up bending slightly. It's tough to understand what 32" means in practice, but I would love to see something that is 3-4" longer.

I was amazed by how precisely I can pick things up off the floor. It can pick up heavy objects (a pair of denim jeans) to light objects (pen, paper). I can pick things up without stooping over and I can get to hard to reach places like under my desk.

Used daily, dropped monthly to hang laundry. Works like a tank, tips are grippy and much better at holding than the $2 Daiso grabber - which it replaced. The depth of the jaws actually allow a user to grip a hanger more firmly and with more angles than either the Daiso grabber or the traditional hook on a pole.

Quick and efficient delivery albeit the box is far larger than necessary. Good grips at both handle and main grab point. Bought to help pick up litter along the local footpaths.
