Attempted to epoxy the snapped part of inner white hose that supplies water to shower head and then applied waterproof tape around pipe and washers to no avail

Bought it about a year ago and water only gets hot in full sun. Doesn't seem like the solar cell does anything. Last week my wife was going to shower after a swim and there was an explosive sound. The top of the the shower blew off. The top has still to be found.

Heats OK if the day is hot enough. But leaked from the start. Water seeps out of the joint between the lower column and the base plate. Unfortunately going in the trash, spending more next time.
