Love this stuff, I've ordered it like over 10 times, I wish it came in larger packs and different sizes! I use these for coptic stitch book binding, they're great! Reliable and incredibly durable.

I bought this product as a possible cover for a traditional Asian stab-bound or Coptic bound book. It is a sturdy heavy product that seems to be cut precisely, perhaps by die-cutting and would be well-suited to this purpose. I do not have any litmus paper so could not test it for acidity. If it is truly acid-free as stated in the description, that would be a plus, but so far as I know, you have to trust the seller on this point if it is important. In my experience, this is kind of a horse apiece with unknown sellers.Chipboard, in this context, is basically the product you generally find on the back of tear-off note pads. It has to be sturdy and inexpensive for that purpose. The only fly in the ointment is that it is not especially "pretty". For my intended purpose, it will probably have something more decorative bonded to it... perhaps a traditional Japanese or Korean hand-made paper.After I have actually used the product, I will perhaps revisit this review and add to it, but as I am in the process of moving my print shop, that may be some while yet.

I used these chipboard sheets as backing for magnetic sheets in a project. I needed something to organize my metal card dies used in card making, so I cut the chipboard in half with a table paper cutter, cut magnetic sheets in half l(Magnet Valley 8x10' adhesive sheets), removed the sticky backing on the magnetic sheets and then applied them to the chipboard sheets. My metal card dies stick well to the magnetic sheets. The chipboard is nice and sturdy and will be durable for frequent use. The chipboard cut easily with the metal table paper cutter (like you see teachers use in schools). The edges of the cut chipboard were fairly smooth and have not crumbled so far. The half sheets fit perfectly in an Iris brand plastic storage container that had inserts to separate the sheets by category. Now its' so easy to locate my dies, and I am not so prone to lose the little ones. Ialso plan to use some of the chipboard to make embellishments for my cards, signs for parties, and in various other craft projects.

It is very thick and would make a sturdy base for craft projects.I also tried to cut this with a Cricut Explore Air, and the results were underwhelming. I set a custom cut for 325, 4x cut, but the deep cut blade did not clear the sheet well and left travel marks on the top. It cut almost, but not completely through a series of 2cm circles This would probably be best used with a manual cut, again, as a base for projects. It is plenty heavy for that, especially if you glue two sheets together, as I did.

This is a nice thickness, I have used them for 2 journals now, with one sheet cut in half to make the front and back cover, and cutting another sheet up for the spines. This is much better than the random cardboard I was using, and does not warp, especially if you glue the cover paper on with Fabri-tac glue.
