While these clamps look like they should work to clamp a catheter or other small tubing, their cheap construction and poor design makes them virtually useless. The primary problem is that the clamping plate at the end of the screw is just a thin piece of folded sheet metal with no stability. When it gets cocked sideways, there is then a galling problem between the screw and the sheet metal making the screw hard to turn. The screw has a very small knob making it very hard to turn. Actual use of these clamps required adding grease to the friction points and pliers to turn the screw.

So, I would not want to use this on something of real value as the materials could be stronger but overall it does work.

It works but not ergonomic, very awkward to adjust for two reasons. Small size of the thumb screw. The portion that squeezes the tubing is smooth and roundish so tubing do not stay in place whilst squeezing the screw. I strongly suggest the following clamp, bought only one to try - expensive but fantastic and very easy to control the flow right down to drops at a rate of one drop per few seconds etc !.Grafco Hoffman Screw-Compressor Clamp for Flexible Tubing, Open Style, 1 x 7/8", 3083DZ (Pack of 12) the one I have tried out and the best is expensive but worth it. The second choice I found out is much cheaper but have not tried out but definitely much better than the one reviewed here. That is HUMBOLDT H-8722"Easy Grip" Screw Compressor Clamp, Open Jaw, 0-5/8" Max Height, 1" Max Width.

Nice sturdy little clips. I spray painted them with some Rustoleum Hammered finish paint and used them as "security" to fasten my fender flares to my truck. The front fender flares were attached using the truck's hardware (screws). The rear involved using a pressure fitted clip to pinch the flare to the wheel well opening. These clip worked perfectly. Barely see them.

The clamps work well and hold tightly. I tightened them down with pliers and they hang on through some pretty rough treatment. Just know that some of the structure being clamped needs to be under the screw, to keep the plate flat for even pressure.

Very cheaply made. Does not tighten to hold anything. Flimsy. Don’t waste your money......and wasting your money is what you’ll be doing since Amazon won’t do returns on this faulty item.
