This attachment for the mixer I already possess is perfect. Once any grain is ground into flour, it will become rancid in about two days flat, which is why store-bought flours are tainted with so many chemicals to preserve them. I have hand-turned grain-mills, for making breads during prolonged power outages, but it is a bit tiring, and it takes a lot longer. With this attachment, determine how much flour you need, grind grain for that amount, and bake it same day. Grains keep their nutrition and freshness months (or years) longer than any flour, plus whatever you bake with the home-ground grains will offer every bit of natural nutrition, unlike store-flours that sift and discard so much of the grain.

I really wanted this product to work but it It started to fail after its second use and it doesn't really grind very fine. The inside of the mill is made of iron but the outside, parts despite being made of good quality plastic, is not strong enough to grind properly.

The selector knob moves while you’re milling flour and it takes three times to get the flour to the desired consistency of bread flour. Save your money and get a more expensive one.

I ground wheat today. Attachment did a good job of cracking the grain on the coarse setting. I took four steps to get to the finest setting and then double ground the wheat on the finest setting. I have wheat bread dough rising but the dough seems coarse and dense and the flour is not soft and fine. My final product is still grit. The catch cup is nice. I used multiple bowls. A bowl for the finished product. A bowl for the current grind and a bowl for what was being ground. The finished product was consistent when though it was not to a powder grade I was hoping for. I won’t attempt oats or rice. Originally I was going to go with three stars, but my review didn’t seem to propagate.

This product is easy to use and to clean. I use it for making lentil flour and for grinding my coffee. It's super helpful to have a multiuse piece.

Definitely not made by kitchenaid, it grinds ok, but for most whole grains, i.e. kamut, flaxseed, it takes 3 grinding to get it into the consistency you want. Also the knob that let's you select the coarseness will go from very fine grind to the next step back while grinding the whole berries. All in all, not bad but could be better.

It simply didn’t work so I returned it. It would grind grain but it would go to a larger setting while you tried to grind. It never got to a useable consistency for flour (no matter how many times you ran it through). Save your money. Don’t buy.

El material se siente un poco sensillo, pero no eh tenido problemas con ello, un molido fino, eso me encanto, recomiendo la compra
