I didn’t know what I didn’t know. As a DIYer, I rarely ask for help, so I got these clamps specifically to move a granite table topper safely by myself. What I didn’t anticipate was the weight of the clamps themselves, the upper body and grip strength required, and the fact that safely moving any slab truly requires a tandem carry. For the granite, I ended up phoning a friend for an assist.I considered other uses—plywood boards, drywall—but as a solo laborer, I found that a different strap tool worked better for those due to the size (namely height), which requires a center hold for balance rather than an end hold—unless you’ve got a dolly or wheel on the other end so you can push or pull. Then I tried these for large-format tiles and concrete stepping stones, and that was the sweet spot. For those, a single person with a single clamp can handle the job, and these work far better than straps. What was once impossible labor became an absolute breeze. These clamps have some kind of magical weight distribution and give even the strangest shapes good handles. Once I got the hang of it, I found I could also easily move large sign panels, sign frames, large TV sized boxes, and even palletes with ease. I started calling the clamp my robot hand. It's that good! One thing to note: squeezing the clamp is a little counterintuitive—it operates with a scissor action (push out to open, pull in to close). But once clamped, the rubber grip pads do not mess around. If the object is in the clamp, it’s going where the clamp goes.Hindsight learnings? Get a carry buddy for high-capacity loads. The right tools for the right job—well, figuring that out means you’re one step closer to knowing how the pyramids were built.

I have a lot of panel carriersbut this is my first dual hand carrier, great for heavy objects that are not too tall, where you can get two hands on it... love how the handles tighten on the object being carriedthe build quality is surprisingly robust vs. the price....handles are good, could be bigger more padded if using it all day, for occssional use, its a non issueoverall, very unique for certain type of heavy items where its hard to get your hands round....or just using two hands vs. one, to reduce the load off single hand carry ..
