Compared to the stock steel saddles that were on my bass guitar, these are a massive improvement. The bass seems more solid, the treble clearer and just more musical overall (a result of improved harmonics I'm assuming). I had the same results with my six string guitar that I upgraded to String Savers. The only "problem" I had was that the intonation adjustment screw on one of the saddles was a lot harder to turn than the other three. It made me wonder about quality control at first, but it really isn't a problem since it is still completely functional (and I had no such problem with the String Saver saddles for my six string guitar).I will be upgrading the tune-o-matic saddles for my Gibson Les Paul next.I'm not sure why they emphasize less string breakage with these. I've never had a problem with strings breaking at the saddles in the first place, I get these strictly for the improved tone.Graph Tech also has great customer service. I lost the saddle height adjustment wrench came with my guitar saddles and emailed them to inquire about where to get a replacement for such a tiny hex key and they mailed me a couple replacements at no charge.

I have graphtech saddles on all of my guitars. Haven’t had a string break. Gets rid of some of the harsh tones of the standard steel Stratocaster saddles.
