After cutting off pieces of a wooden yardstick for years every time I worked with large pieces I wanted a 36-inch metal ruler for my artwork but they are often very expensive. This one was a just price and it is a great product. So glad I decided upon it and as a bonus it is made right here in the US in TN.

Won't warp or break like wood yardstick. Good for sewing/cutting with rolling blade device.

I got this yardstick when I don't want to fool with a tap measure and wooden yardstick will wear out in time. It was great when I was measuring for new curtains.

I am used to the stiffer yard sticks. I thought this was one of thoshe. But sadly not. Still works.

This is a great USA Made 18 inch ruler, especially considering the dirt cheap price (under 4 bucks as of this writing). It is made of aluminum which is lightweight, great for artists but it is also pretty soft metal so may not be the best choice for shop use, especially if your are someone who doesn't take great care for their tools. The softness of the metal is actually a benefit if used for layout, especially with a marking knife as it will not damage your marking knife. The lines are thicker and not as precise as in my Starrett combination square, but they are good enough for rough layout, and also MUCH cheaper than a Starrett. This will mostly see use for my art courses, but also in the shop as needed.

I needed a ruler that was sturdy, legible, and I could wash over & over for my dough. This works perfectly. I make rectangle hand pies and this is perfect for measuring out the lines for cutting. I also measure the diameter of my pie crusts and this ruler is perfect. Arrived quickly and no damage. Very pleased with the product and seller.

Numbers rub right off. I was showing my husband, who didn’t seem to notice, so I barely rubbed 12. Whoop, there it went. Totally understand you get what you pay for, but what good is a ruler if there are no numbers.

Accurate enough, measures a yard. Light weight, straight edge. What more do you want?

I use it on paper and card. I wish the edges were bevelled to offer a closer/ more accurate pencil line. The hole edge should be smoothed because sometimes the hole sharpness catches on my paper. I find the surface a bit shiny so can be hard to read with a glare. It’s relatively easy to maneuver but for me the underside has a bit of resistance which I’d prefer to be a bit slicker for moving across paper, but not a big deal. It holds a strong edge but I like that it’s slightly flexible and is lightweight, and I’m glad it’s width is not overly wide.
