These clips are more durable than I expected and grip fabric tightly. I used these last month to hold frost cloth to the edges of plastic plant pots. We had high winds causing the excess fabric to billow wildly in the wind, but the clips held the cloth in place over the plants despite being stressed. No clips broke and these clips did not tear the fabric. Very pleased. I would purchase again when needed.

I bought the 1/2" version of this product and it worked great on the greenhouse/cold frames we have that are made with the 1/2" EMT conduit (OD is .706"). I also clipped our materials to the T-posts that support our EMT frame, this size won't open all the way around the T-post, but I clipped onto one of the protrusions. It will accommodate several layers of material, in our case we have poly-spun frost blanket covered with 4mil sheet plastic, and in some places had several folds of the plastic (at the corners). The clips open capaciously and the ends don't have to touch together in order to completely tightly grip whatever you put this on. The clips are made of what feel like high quality, thick ABS plastic, and the spring is thick and tight. You have to apply some muscle to open the clamp, but it's not brutal. I'm utterly thrilled with this product. The edges are smooth and I had no issues with them poking through either material. I've gone out and rearranged the clips while it was sunny to ventilate, then closed it all back up tight in later afternoon. Absolutely no issues, works wonderfully well. I plan to order more of these, and also order them in the larger size to have on hand. Versatile clip!I've used a couple of other products made for this type of application-- both the stainless-steel all metal clips and the clamps that are ABS plastic, about 4" long, and press on/pull off, both of which have problems (the metal tears material, and the press on clamps are hard to get on and off and actually can pop off in high winds, and they are pricey). The press-on type are good if you want to layer clips (because they are completely flat), and I used some of mine on the inner layers near the doorway opening to keep everything tight. But, these clips will be my first-line go-to for this function from here on out, and at this price point they are a no-brainer. These clips are fantastic and have helped me save my lettuces and greens through the 2024 arctic blast. I don't know how many seasons they'll last, but they have a good strong feel.

I like that they are the correct size for 1/2 PVC pipe. Using them on my small green house. I will be adding a tarp to the top for added protection this winter. These clips are strong enough to hold that extra layer very well. we'll see. Here in Maine if we get a 2 ft ice and snowstorm it may collapse the whole greenhouse but that won't be the clips fault. Good product.

This works great for attaching shade cloth to 1/2†pvc pipe support in my garden. I only gave it 4 stars because I don’t know how fast they will UV degrade. If they don’t last for multiple years, I’d say 2 stars; but if they do last, I’d give them 5 stars.

I have greenhouse shelves where the original plastic deteriorated and I would clamp on 6mil plastic to replace it and the pvc pipe clamps were always too big and wouldn't hold. Then I use regular spring clamps which were my only choice. Then I see these and boy they are just the thing I needed. They fit perfect and hold extremely well. I could order replacement covers but they are expensive. To keep the shelves from blowing over, I connect them back to back for a bigger base. So using regular 6 mil works well for this. Why don't I get a bigger greenhouse? The shelves are only used for about 2 or 3 months in spring to harden my seedlings on the patio and then taken down.

I was using the snap on clips to hold the plastic on my cold frame hoops. Every time we had strong winds, the plastic would blow off and the clamps would break. I tried these and there is a night and day difference. 60 mph gusts and it stayed on. I also had about eight or nine inches of snow on the frame and the frames partially collapsed but the clips held the plastic on. These clamps are fantastic. Only thing I would like is if they were white to match the pvc. But at this rate, who cares?

This product holds the material on my row hoops really well. The clips make it really easy to unclip to pull back my row cover to water, and collect produce. I recommend this product.

You need to buy the correct size for the PVC poles....It took us a couple of times to learn the technique to using them as they are very strong and need an effort to clamp. This is good because we don't want them to come off easily. At the end of the season they still looked brand new and did not get sun damaged even though we had an exceptionally hot summer and the clamps were in full sun all day long
