I have a few slug-buster punches in addition to this one and each of them creates a perfect, burr-free hole every time. There is no better solution for accurate, clean holes in sheet material. In fact, to make a test hole to size some connectors I punched a piece of ordinary cardboard with this one and the hole was perfect - no tearing, no fuzz - it cut like a razor knife. Remarkable.The only thing I never liked about these is the large hole required for the draw bolt. I've always wondered if a draw bolt made from higher strength steel could be used to make drilling the initial hole more manageable by keeping it in the range of common twist drill sizes (avoiding hole saws, step drills and the like). Even so, I know of no better tool for the job.

This does the job BUT it is not a Slug-Buster it is just a regular knockout punch. The difference is that the SLUG_BUSTER splits the knockout slug in half in order to facilitate easier removal from the cup. The one I received does not do that leaving the slug as a whole ring. Even tho it can be pulled out of the cup easy enough most of the time , but on heavier gage metals the slug can get jammed up inside the cup and require much greater effort to remove

I needed an additional hole in my stainless steel kitchen sink for a filtered water spigot. I had a uni-bit that was large enough to drill a hole for the pull bolt and the Greenlee Slug-Buster did the rest. Very little effort and clean results.
