Love the delay timer and the fact that this crock pot is PFAS free. Its easy to clean and does a great job. The parts aren't heavy but still cook well. Green was my only option when I got it two years ago. The only thing I am sad about is that I missed out on the new color choices.

Light weight and easy to use.Cleans easily. Cooks quickly and evenly. This cooker is also attractive in the kitchen.

This crockpot changed my life! I make all kind of recipes in it! It is so light and non stick programming is so easy and clean up is a breeze! I wanted the black one but they were out of so I got the white one! It’s beautiful and works so well! This is a must have!!!

I like it.My old crock pot was great too, but it got washed away during the Hurricane Helene storm surge. This is a lovely white pot and it is big. I cooked soup in it for the first time and found it to be a great tool for me. I made the stock, put it on medium for an hour, left and when I got home it had finished but transferred to warm automatically. That was nice. I then sautéed the rest of the ingredients, added them, and preset the crock pot on high for 40 min. It was perfect. It allowed me to cook slowly or quickly without overcooking.

Okay. There’s A LOT to so say about this slow cooker, especially in relation to a lot of problems mentioned in the comments.First, is the product description wrong/misleading?Short answer. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-This is 100% NOT ceramic in ANY way.-It is an aluminum pot lined with I have no idea what type of non-stick coating (they say is PFOA AND PFOS free, but I highly doubt it), and even has a ton of multicolor glitter in the coating!-BUT because of this It is feather light! Lighter than normal cooking pots!-And I actually feel like I could safely brown and prep meat in it on the stove. Ceramics I always worry will crack or break.-Just make sure to NEVER use metal utensils on it, or it will scrape off the nonstick coating!Now as for the bad taste after cooking complaints:-I washed it out with soap (gentle soap only per the directions!!!) and water.-To off-gas this slow cooker (yes I have chemical sensitivities) I filled the pot with water and cooked it twice for 4 hours each time on the hottest setting (medium, which I explain below) before ever using actual food in it. It did leave a very faint gasoline-like residue in the water the first two times.-Because this is a plastic base, of course there is gonna be off-gassing from the heat and the new plastic. Yes it smells yucky.-Yes it probably has PFOA and PFOS..-So make sure you off-gas it to take off any chemicals, etc that might contaminate your food. (And it’s also a great way to test all the settings to make sure it works properly. More in this below).Now for the common complaint of the water never getting hot or cooking the food:-This sow cooker has weird settings compared to all other slow cookers, but they look like normal settings, so you MUST READ THE DIRECTIONS..-Most people I think are hitting the delay button and using it as the cook button. The delay button literally just delays the time before it starts cooking.- There is no cook button. You turn the knob to set the cook time, and you must do this FIRST. Otherwise it won’t work properly AKA cook.-When I was off-gassing the slow cooker with water, I tested all the settings and I found a second issue. There is low medium and high cooking modes. Here I think I have discovered that the slow cooker has a program error. The LOW mode is actually medium(normal low mode)/high, the MEDIUM mode is actually high mode, and the HIGH mode is actually low/warm.So I think this is another reason people’s food was not coming out right, since most meals use the HIGH setting..Slow cooker outside hotness:-The outside does not get nearly as hot as other slow cookers I have had.-People saying this in the comments either have a defective one, or they are replacing a unit from the 70s-90s and don’t know they all are hot on the outside now. I learned this the hard way myself.-the handles are plastic and also never get hot, even after hours on the highest setting (medium).-the lid fits very well.My conclusion:-While I think this may be a scam company (from all the promises about this slow cooker being green that are obviously flat out lies), I actually really really like it for the super cheap price of $40!-The glitter coating is pretty, I LOVE how lightweight it is for cooking and washing, the pot seems more versatile than classic ceramic ones, the color is cute, and the plastic smell is not nearly as bad as a lot of new cooking appliances if you just take the time to off-gas it by cooking water in high the first few times.-all in all I’m annoyed about the scam wording and false promises, but I actually like the slow cooker so much I will be keeping it. They honestly should just promote the thing as it is. I know a ton of people would buy it for the same price just cuz of the glitter in the coating looking cool, and the pink outside color.4 stars because it works and I love it, but they sold it on false pretenses.I hope this helps.

However, one item I had never owned until now was a slow cooker. After reading hundreds of product reviews, I decided the GreenLife slow cooker seemed like the right choice for the price and its features. Despite this, I had some concerns about issues mentioned in reviews, such as chemical smells, heating performance, and durability over time.I take all reviews with a grain of salt, as everyone should, and decided to give this unit a try. The slow cooker arrived quickly and was well-packaged. One thing that immediately stood out was how lightweight it was—a pleasant surprise.Before using it for cooking, I conducted a series of tests to evaluate its heating performance at all three temperature settings: low, medium, and high. Here's what I found:Test on Low Setting:I cleaned the unit with soap and water, then filled it with 4 quarts of 70-degree water (measured with a digital thermometer).After running the slow cooker on low for 4 hours, the water reached a final temperature of 175 degrees.During this initial test, the unit emitted a noticeable chemical smell, which was a bit concerning.Test on Medium Setting:I repeated the process with fresh 70-degree water and set the cooker to medium for 4 hours.The final temperature reached 209 degrees, and the chemical smell had mostly dissipated by this point.Test on High Setting:Once again, I started with fresh 70-degree water and set the cooker to high for 4 hours.The water temperature reached 219 degrees, and the chemical smell was completely gone by the end of this test.Additional observations:The exterior of the unit never exceeded 170 degrees, which is an important safety feature.The bottom of the unit stayed below 100 degrees, indicating efficient insulation.Several people mentioned they were worried about the two screws on the bottom that could scratch your countertop. On a level countertop, neither screw will cause a problem, but if you are concerned, place the slow cooker on a cutting board.Based on my tests, I plan to do most of my slow cooking on the medium setting. This setting seems to heat food out of the danger zone (40–140 degrees) more quickly, which is important for food safety.Today, I’m putting the GreenLife slow cooker to work by making a 15-bean soup, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase. It’s affordable, functional, and has exceeded my expectations so far.

This handled a 12 lb. pork shoulder easily and the result was delicious. I was a little dubious about the limited temperature control (low, med, high) but it turned into a non-issue. It's also easy to clean and relatively lightweight; making it easy to handle.

Works great , great size and easy to use on settings. Plus it’s very stylish and easy to clean.

This slow cooker is amazing.! Very light weight. I love that you can brown your meat right in the insert on top of the stove. No extra frying pans to wash. It cleans up really easily, food doesn’t stick. The digital settings and delay timer makes this slow cooker so versatile. I love this slow cooker. I highly recommend it. So much better than the crockery inserts which are so heavy and awkward.

I live alone and I don't have a lot of time to prepare meals. This cooker was so simple to use and exceeded my expectations. It cooked a perfect meal. It's a bit pricy but good quality made. I recommend this slow cooker.
