Does all the jobs I need it to do on my 7+ acre horse farm. Used this saw through all three hurricanes we had in 2024 and was never disappointed. Excellent power and battery life. Lightweight enough to handle all day. Easy chain/bar maintenance. An all around winner.

I purchased this chainsaw after a lot of damage to oak and cedar trees from the recent freeze in central Texas. The chainsaw did great! It is lightweight, super easy to use, even for a beginner, and the battery lasts for hours. I opted for the battery version so we can use it at another location that didn’t have power. It’s quiet and no obnoxious smells or problems starting. The chain does come loose sometimes but it’s easy to tighten up in about 10 seconds. If the chain does come off, it’s usually because there’s too much grime and dust inside and it’s fairly easy to clean that out and put it back together. I’ve been using this for a lot of 6 inch branches and smaller, but it worked its way through a couple trunks that were as, big as a foot wide with some help maneuvering around the trunk. This is my fourth green works purchase and I am 100% satisfied.

The important thing to know is that this is a light duty, intermittent use chainsaw. It is meant to be used occasionally on logs that aren't much bigger than 8-10". For this, it fits the bill extremely well. I use a chainsaw so infrequently (once a year or even every 2-3 yrs) that the fuel always gums up and it stops working well. After my 2nd one stopped working like this, I decided to give battery-powered a try. It does it's job quite well. I got probably around 40-60 min of use (it's hard to say as I'd make some cuts, then handle the logs, then repeat, so there's a lot of downtime). Given how the only fluids I need to replenish is the chain bar oil, I figure it will be perfect for how and how much I use it.As for any downsides, yes, it does not cut as fast as a gas-powered one (but a gas-powered one you can't start or keep running cuts even less). I also found the chain tends to loosen quickly, so you need to pay attention to retensioning it or it will fall off, requiring a quick disassembly of the bar to get it working again. But at least this is a breeze, so not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience.

I finally got to use it yesterday. Amazed how well it worked . Being used to gas powered chainsaws , I didn't know what to expect. Had to clear out an area that a tree fell on. Amazing run time with upgraded 6 amp batteries. Everyone around me watched as i cut thru all the branches with ease. The chain jumped off once, but that was my fault.( should have retentioned the chain when it was loose). Solid little chainsaw. It was a good investment for myself.

This has been great so far. I love that the chain has tool-less tightening. Battery lasts for about an hour -- which is about how long I last in 100 degree weather! I'd say you can get about 40 cuts in on a charge. Compared to a gas saw, it's really quiet. I'd have gotten this years ago, had it been on my radar. No more aggravating trying to get a chain back on, or trying to get it started. Not a fan of gas-powered, so I had been using a pole saw! Great for sawing up fallen limbs and trimming low hanging branches.

This thing is awesome! I've been able to cut quite a bit on a single charge. Multiple sessions so I'm not sure how long I've had the charge for. The chain came off once but was really easy to get back on. I have zero personal skill regarding chainsaws so that makes it better. It's also super quiet.

Saw is good for limbing branches, cutting blow down in the yard, and trail work. It cuts stuff under 4 inches well. It will cut 6 to 8 inch stuff ok just slows down. Battery life is pretty good for how lite it is. The saws lite weight is one of its strengths. Got it to save strain on my back.Downsides:I don't like the chain tensioner. It is functional but the chain is loser than I like it. It is a tool-less design that can't be tightened enough even by sticking a screw driver through the handle or torquing it to the max amount reasonable. This is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.Overall I would buy it again.

If you like stopping after every little cut to tension the chain, this is the saw for you. I was excited to try the new "auto-tensioner" and I liked how light and powerful the saw is, but the chain just keeps popping off creating a hazard. I figured out if you pull the chain bar forward while tensioning it helps, but that is a pain and there are much better designs out there where the chain stays adjusted (e.g. oregon). Also, as with all the other green works saws they need to be stored so the oil port is facing up, or they will leak oil.
