Of the several BBQ grill cleaners we have, this one works the best. Just heat your BBQ to 400 degrees, turn it off, wet the cleaner’s head with water and the steam that the water creates on the hot surface really does the trick. It’s lightweight and the handles are well-designed to make it easy to clean your grill. You can also hang it up for storage. It’s a great value for the money!

I’ve been grilling for years and have always used metal brushes to clean the grill surface. However, I’ve heard that metal brushes can shed bristles that end up in your food, though I’ve never experienced this myself. That’s why I was intrigued by the ThermoMaven brushless grill cleaner.When I first opened the brush, I was puzzled by the instructions about wetting the brush head. The brush came with three replaceable cleaning brushes that Velcro to the main handle. The instructions suggest submerging the brushhead in water or running it under a faucet to ensure it’s well-wet. Once your grill is at a high temperature, around 400° or higher, you use the brush to scrape off debris.I was pleasantly surprised by the effectiveness of the brush. As soon as it touched the hot metal grates, steam formed, and I heard the sizzle of debris burning off and falling down. Cleaning the grill required less pressure because the steam did most of the work.The two things I found challenging about the product were the handle and the metal ring to hang the brush. Since I have a gas grill with an upper rack on top, I couldn’t place my other hand on the white handle without risking touching the hot rack. This made it harder to use, as most of my pressure came from the hand at the back of the brush. The second issue was minor, but every time I pushed the brush forward and backward, the metal ring flapped back and forth, hitting my hand. This was easily remedied by holding the ring where I hold the back of the brush.Ultimately, I am very pleased with the ThermoMaven steam brush. I intend to switch to this brush as my primary barbecue cleaner because I am impressed with its steam cleaning mechanism. Traditional wire brushes simply scrape debris, which falls onto my briquettes. However, with this steam brush, the debris either dissolves or evaporates, or it passes through my briquettes, making it a cleaner option. While you do need to replace the brush heads relatively frequently, you should also replace wire brushes at the same time. Replacing the brush heads is significantly less wasteful than replacing an entire brush.

BBQ Grill Brush Bristle Free - 17" Safe Steam Black Handle Grill Cleaner BrushThis tool far exceeded my expectations!I honestly wasn’t expecting it to work as good as it did- it’s also very challenging to find effective products that replace the dangerous bristle brushes widely available.So three heavy duty “sponges†were included with the tool.I heated up my grill and soaked the sponge with hot water. It attached easily with strong Velcro.I had no issues with the sponge loosening or falling off even with strong pressure on a filthy greasy grates.I had a perfect grill to test on *see pics for before and after.The steam from the sponges cut right through the stubborn residue like nothing.I rinsed and re wet the sponge only one time.It was surprisingly quick and a lot less effort than I was expecting.I’m beyond impressed & can confidently recommend to anyone.

I’ve used a lot of grill brushes over the years, but this steam-powered bristle-free brush is by far the most effective and safest option I’ve tried. Just heat the grill, wet the pad, and let the steam do the work—it cuts through grease and debris effortlessly. The sturdy handle with a pressure knob makes scrubbing easy, and I love that the pads are replaceable instead of needing to toss the whole brush.I was skeptical at first, but this really does a better job than wire brushes—without the risk of bristles breaking off into food. If you grill often and want a safer, more effective way to clean your grates, this is a must-have!

This product does a decent job of cleaning my stainless steel BGE grate. I keep the grill hot after cooking then rub the pad over the grates. It’s not easy keeping the scrub pad on the handle unless you are using a fair amount of pressure. IMO it would be way better if there were a way to “lock†the scrub pad in to the handle.
