This works like a charm. Will have to see how long it works without the interior contacts rusting or caroding, since it is under a roof, not exposed to the weather.

When I purchased this given the price, I thought this was an aftermarket item.When it arrived, it was in Weber box. I was quite pleased.But after a short time, the light didn't turn off. Only got dimmer, which drained the batteries.I went to replace the batteries, and it was wet inside battery compartment. Doesn't work at all now.I bought this to replace a Weber light which lasted years until there was a grill fire under the lid and the light was damaged. Of course, the 30 day return window has closed.

I received 2 NEW Weber Grill Lights p/n 7516 for my +9 Yr old Weber Genesis grill.It's great AMAZON can supply OEM Weber parts. Too bad OEM Supplier's QC is not same as +9Yrs ago.Battery Housing fit was bad. Center AAA battery could NOT stay seated. No DC power for LED to work.Typical AMAZON Warranty enabled for return of failed and 24 Hr. replacement.

We have a Weber grill, and it does have a cover on it. The majority of time the cover is on the grill protecting it, but every once in a while, we might forget to put the cover on the grill, and it just happens to rain. When it rains this little light gets moisture in it and then it stops working.I don't understand how Weber hasn't fixed that issue. I've gone through at least 5-6 of these over the course of several years now and it's all the same thing. I open it up and see the LED has corrosion on it and or there is moisture in the unit.Other than that, when you open the lid the light turns on, and when you close the lid the light turns off. It illuminates the grilling surface perfectly and there are zero issues with that. It's nice and bright and batteries seem to last quite a while.I just wish Weber would address the weather resistant/proof of this considering most people have their grills outside and they see weather changes.

This is a must have for all Barbeques. I have bought 3 by now for friends and family. Great quality and worth every dollar!
