I give this product of 5 * review because it is inexpensive, well made and completely useful.The term beer can chicken is used but the important thing is not beer but that the chicken is being cooked in an upright position. That means the entire chicken, all the skin, top and bottom is exposed to the high oven heat and not sitting on the bottom in oil or water. I do use a (soda) can when I cook the chicken and I usually fill it with maybe a third of the can of water.I get really good results with a chicken around 5 lb and cooked at 350 for about 25 minutes per pound. No problem with cooking it a little longer, the meat remains moist and the skin gets really crispy.I stand it up in a 12in iron skillet with a little oil on the bottom so the drippings don't burn.

I've been looking at these types of beer can chicken accesories since Christmas and pulled the trigger on this one when the price dropped to under $8. It was both inexpensive and worked great. Got a recipe for rub and that sort of thing off the internet and had a great chicken dinner last night. Could not be happier with this little gadget.

This does just what it needs to do. It’s good quality and not crazy big. The base is around 6â€x6†and 2 1/2†tall.

Very sturdy and stable can holder roaster. Easy to place chicken over soda can in holder. Easy to remove chicken from holder and easy to clean.

works great! small enough you can buy 2 and they’ll fit side by side on a sheet pan.Pro tips: - Make sure to spray with a little oil/grease it up so it doesn’t stick to the chicky when you’re trying to remove it while not knocking over the boiling beer inside!- bake @450 30 mins, THEN take down to 350 for another 60-90 mins depending on weight of the chicken. makes such a difference on the crispy skin and juicy insides!

1) run this in a pan to collect all the chicken drippings (holders with integrated pans don't look adequate)2) small size is easy to store3) cleans up easily in the dishwasherIn the convection oven this makes really evenly roasted chickens. I do have to provide a can each time ;)

Cook a lot of beer can chicken in summer. Have a few different types of chicken holders but this is one of my favorites. Keeps chicken stable, easy to use and very easy to clean.
