8" Benchtop Jointer with Spiral-Type Cutterhead
The G0947 Benchtop Jointer is equipped with an 8" cutterhead, providing the same capacity as a typical floor model jointer while preserving floor space. Compact and easy to transport between job sites - and simple to store!
The spiral-type cutterhead provides smoother finishes, quieter operation, and less maintenance compared to straight-knife cutterheads.
The cutting edges of the 16 high-speed steel (HSS) inserts sit perpendicular to the workpiece. Each two-sided insert can each be rotated once to expose a new sharp edge.

Infeed and Outfeed Table Extensions
Table length is everything with a jointer. These adjustable table extensions allow you to easily expand the table length from 34" to 52".
This allows you to produce longer and straighter edges than you can with a typical benchtop machine.

It features 16 razor-sharp indexable inserts that can each be rotated to expose a fresh sharp edge.

I ordered the G0947 8" benchtop jointer in May 2023 as an upgrade from a smaller 6" Delta benchtop jointer. After spending hours and hours trying to dial in the setup, using a number of different youtube tutorials (and years of experience with bigger jointers in bigger shops than my home shop), I couldn't get a clean straight cut from the machine and finally contacted customer service. Customer service tried to explain to me how to set up a jointer AFTER I explained the steps I had taken to try to get it set up properly, and eventually sent me a shipping label to send it in for them to check out.Once they received the machine, the agreed the tables were not flat and they would send me a new one as a replacement. I just received the replacement and the infeed table on this machine is even worse than the one I already sent back! Contacting customer service to update them on the situation, and they're back to acting like I don't know what I'm talking about.Save yourself the headache, either go for a bigger machine with cast iron tables (and a mobile base if space is a concern) or get a different brand that offers cast iron tables on basically this same machine. I have multiple other bigger tools from Grizzly that I love and use regularly, but my experience around this jointer has been horrible so far.

Got this jointer for Christmas. But once I recieved it I found the table was out of square. And trust me it's a royal pain of a process to get square. I'm still currently working on it. But can't seem to get the snipe out of the end of the board. Contacted grizzly and they sent me a video they found on YouTube and swore if I followed the steps it would fix my issues. Looked at the video and it's of a older jointer from over 10 years ago. Contacted them again and was told there was nothing they could or would do to help. That I had to find someone around me that has experience in repairing the machines. And told me to (LOOK) up another video on YouTube that would help and it was only a 3 min video on just adjusting the fence. Now I have a machine that's worth a good penny and in this economy and ray in age that alot of money and I can't get it to be parallel. If I had known this I would of went with wahuda. Grizzly is well known in the wood working industry and I'm honestly disappointed in how they handled it. I even asked if I shipped it to them for them do it for me since they built it they should be more then capable of squaring it. The guy said ya for 95 dollars an hour plus shipping. And it's a 4 hour minimum. They forget that.!!!!!!
