Your cart is empty.Parallel in width and gently tapered in thickness. Overcut is parallel to file edges and upcut is 90 degree to overcut. Useful for putting serrations on knife edges and to obtain a checkered design similar to a gun hand grip. Double cut top and bottom. Both edges are safe. 30 lines per inch. 1/2" wide x 11/64" thick.

It is a checkering file and it does that very well. I used it on a stainless steel Springfield Range Officer on the front strap and was happy with the way it cut and the way it held up. It showed no signs of dulling and am sure it could be used on multiple jobs as long as the file is used correctly. I would buy it again.

It is a top quality file. I purchased a pillar file or that is what it was billed as. I now question what the differences are. When I learn which file I have i'm going to order one other. The cut of my file is "0", it removes metal rapidlly. Quite an aggresive file. My next file i'd like a little milder

I would give it a five star rating but I don't know what that would look like.it is a good tool and I Would buy it Avon and recommend it as well.wish that all my files were that good.

I bought this for my husband and he is using it to checker the top straps and back straps on several firearms for various friends and family. It looks really good and is useful for keeping the weapons from slipping in your hands. If you have someone interested in checkering, this is a good tool. He is really enjoying it.

Upon receiving the file, I immediately noticed several teeth on the outside edge of one side were broken off. For the price of these files, they should be inspected closer. Possible it could have been done during shipping, but I didn't find any of the broken pieces in the bag. Other than that, they are nice files
