Our Story
At Guard Your ID we are passionate about helping individuals protect their personal information. It is this desire to help that led us to develop the first identity protection stamp in July 2006, and why we continue to evolve and develop new identity tools today. One example of this evolution would be the Guard Your ID Advanced 2.0 Roller family. The specially formulated, oil-based ink of this roller is water-resistant, light-resistant, chemical resistant, clear, dark, and quick-drying. It can be applied to not only regular paper, but to most glossy surfaces.
Our journey in creating the unique Guard Your ID Stamp pattern took several years. Over 100 patterns were tested during this process, and we finally emerged with the powerful, patented pattern we use today. The letters A, B, E, G, H, K, M, V, W, X were chosen based on their limited white space, and the letters were turned, angled, and positioned just right to offer the maximum coverage.

Why is shredded paper an issue?
It is hard to believe, since we all think recycling shredded paper would be helpful to the environment, but in actuality, shredded paper is very difficult to recycle. In fact, many recycling and waste centers will not even accept shredded paper and will send it directly to the landfill.
Why is shredded paper so difficult to recycle? Shredding paper into small pieces destroys the long fiber lengths, and makes the paper virtually unusable in the recycling process. It degrades the quality of the paper, increasing costs and complicating the system. The small strips wreak havoc on the recycling facilities, falling through their screens, getting mixed up with other recycled materials, and basically making a huge mess.
Guard Your ID Rollers offer a greener alternative to shredding. They are an easy, less time-consuming solution that assists, instead of burdening, the recycling process.

I bought this product for work specifically to hide bank micro coding information on printed check copies. Sure, I have Adobe to redact, but this is easier for those small copy jobs. Roller works well. Ink takes a minute to dry if the paper is glossy. I've used on 1 Rx label; it does need time to dry. True, the ink on these rollers is not refillable, but it obscures the micro coding with one roll. After I brought this to work, others wanted one too. However, they got a refillable security stamp instead. Their refillable security stamp ink doesn't cover well - I can still read the things they are trying to hide.This roller covers 3 lines (addresses), so if you only need to hide one row of data, use scrap paper to catch the extra ink when I roll over my data. I also use the other rollers for home. I keep it handy when I open junk mail. No more shredding and stockpiling paper to be shredded. I'll buy again.

These stamps are easy to use, and they scramble things so much they are unrecognizable. Nothing with your name and address on it is safe in the garbage because more and more people will dig through garbage looking for something they can use to steel money. After I bought these stamps, I now think about things that I would have thrown away without a second thought. Using these stamps is much easier than shredding, and some things cannot be shredded.

I wanted to use this for recycling old statements (like bank, investments, etc), it just doesn’t work. After the ink is dry you can read everything.It does come with a warning about using them in a well ventilated area, and yes, you have to do that, the smell is ridiculously strong!

These work great. They are small enough to conveniently fit in the "junk" drawer. If there is something with larger or darker print, wait a minute and apply another coat. You should only need one coat or swipe across. You don't need to press hard either. The ink will be wet for about a minute, so just let sit before touching anywhere near the ink. This is no different than knowing not to touch wet paint right after applying it. I will be buying them again once they are back in stock.

Never bought those things before . Have a shredder but ,it takes so much time and all that comes with it . BUT this , this is WOW i was very surprised that it works and it woks very good. At a certain point in your life. No time to loose. Great purchase!!!!
