This fit well on a Cub Cadet snowblower. Very easy to install, not more than 1 hr, WITH 2 people. Can't say how long it would take for 1 person. Definitely helps to keep the snow spray away. I like my purchase very much!

I used this canopy for about 8 years on a Toro 521 Snow Blower. It was awesome! Attaches very easily. Kept the snow off me no matter which way the wind was blowing. Even kept me warmer, to the point that I couldn't wear the really heavy stuff anymore like before. I wish I had known about this sooner! I only ever had one problem. There are four "spokes" that the upper part slides on to. One of these broke a couple of years ago. It wasn't really a problem; it was just a little looser in that corner. Zip ties worked to keep it in place.I just bought a new snowblower, different model, and it unfortunately doesn't seem to fit. 🙁 I'll be buying something as close to this one as I can. 🙂I recommend this product highly!

Tired of getting covered in snow using my Ariens blower, I decided to get this cab. It was inexpensive and promised an easy fit. Inexpensive yes—easy fit, not quite. The cab frame hooks onto a horizontal bar on snowblower frame. This bar is located in front of the operator at around knee level. So far so good. The problem is that the mounting is a toothed clamp that fastens around the snowblower bar. This clamp, actually two, one each side, are the only thing holding the cab. Since the cab is a lightweight and quite large vinyl cover, it catches the wind. A lot. With a wind from behind it acts like a sailboat spinnaker and this pushes the cab forward. With the wind in front, it pushes the cab back onto the head of the operator. No matter how much I tightened down the clamp (to the point of bending the cab brackets), the pressure from the large sail-like cab would cause the cab to pivot back or forward depending on the wind direction. The problem is simply that there is a single point of attachment right at the pivot point of the cab and a large area of the vinyl cover for the wind to push.THE SOLUTION:So what I did was cut two pieces of flexible plastic hose to length. Poked holes in the end of each of of them and zip-tied them at one end to the horizontal lower bar on the cab frame and the other end onto the handlebars of the snowblower. This means the cab is now supported both by the toothed clamp up front and also by these pieces of hose on each side. I’ve been able to snow-blow in quite strong winds with this arrangement. Since your snowblower might be set up differently, it might not work exactly like this for you, but I can pretty much guarantee that, out of the box, the cab frame securing method with the single toothed clamp won’t work without some similar adjustment.

I’ve got a TroyBilt Flex 2stage blower. This cab is awesome! The clamps it comes with are alright… but do yourself a favor and get four of these instead: https://a.co/d/6GCZdmZBest decision I made. Easy install, adjustment and removal. Especially if you need to haul your blower to multiple places. These clamps are the best for this canopy.

Overall, especially given the price, this is great. My only disappointment was the slow delivery. I ordered it on the 9th and it arrived on the 17th. Many people commented on the very quick delivery, but mine didn't make it before storm #4 or 5 (I've lost track!) with the 16" and 40-50 mph winds! However, I'm ready for the next storm. I have a 10 yr old Ariens 926 and I was able to make it fit. Assembly was relatively easy. The directions were clear but almost not necessary. I do have a few installation tips: 1)assemble the upper frame indoors where it's warm, 2)I found that the best way to deal with the plastic tubing pieces at each joint was to pull them off the metal piece they are attached to, put a little bit of vaseline on female end of the metal tubing, slide the non-flared end of the plastic tubing on the lubed female end(hey, gotta have some fun!), then insert the male end of the metal tubing! This sounds confusing but will make sense when you have the pieces in front of you...the birds and bees, you'll figure it out. 3) get yourself a 1/2" ratchet box wrench for attaching the mounting bar to your snowblower. You've got 8 lock nuts to be threaded on a fair distance in relatively confined spots, depending on your particular case. A note for tall people(which I am not), the manual says it allows headroom of 6'5". Keep in mind that that only applies if you are able to mount the mounting bar at the max (30") of the recommended 24" to 30" installation range. All in all, for a "one-size-fits-all" product this cab is great. Well done Guide Gear.

Just finished assembling/installing mine on my Arien 24". I like the construction, installation took about 20 minutes, working by myself. Some notes:1. After installing it where I thought it should go, I decided I wanted it a little higher up the frame of the blower, but when I tried to take the nuts off the U-bolts that mount it to relocate it, they crossthreaded and snapped the bolts. I replaced them with U-bolts from the hardware store, but those aren't anodized, so they'll rust. I put the nuts on originally with an impact gun...not sure if that caused the problem. Don't see why it would, but thought I'd mention it.2. I wasn't dazzled by how the frame mounts to the blower. I think it'll rotate and sag with the vibration and be a pain in the butt. They could've designed the mount with another mounting bracket to prevent this, but it IS a one-size-fits-all design and that's what you get. In my case, I tacked a quick weld bead on both sides, to prevent this. For the price, I doubt you can beat this product. It seems well-built and likely to hold up. One weird thing...I only paid $59, but when I went back today (a week later), it's now over $90! Don't know if this is a mistake or a reaction to the fact that winter has started.
